अंबिकापुर | [छत्तीसगढ़ बुलेटिन] | सोमवार सुबह उत्तरी छत्तीसगढ़ में भूकंप के झटके महसूस किए गए। भूकंप की तीव्रता रिक्टर स्केल पर 4.6 मैग्नीट्यूड मापी गई है। भूकंप का केंद्र छत्तीसगढ के बैकुंठपुर के पास सोनहत क्षेत्र में धरातल से 10 किलोमीटर की गहराई में थी। यहां 3 साल पहले भी 4.7 मैग्नीट्यूड का भूकंप आया था। भूकंप के झटके कोरिया जिले के साथ सूरजपुर एवं बलरामपुर जिले के कुछ इलाकों में भी महसूस किए गए। चूंकि भूकंप का अंतराल कुछ ही सेकेंड का था, इसलिए इससे कोई नुकसान नहीं हुआ है।
सोमवार की सुबह उत्तरी छत्तीसगढ़ में सुबह 8.10 मिनट पर भूकंप के झटके महसूस किए गए। भूकंप का केंद्र कोरिया जिला मुख्यालय बैकुंठपुर से करीब 17 किलोमीटर दूर उत्तर पश्चिम क्षेत्र सोनहत में था। भूकंप की तीव्रता रिक्टर स्केल पर 4.6 मापी गई है। भूकंप के झटके सोनहत एवं रामगढ़ के इलाकों में महसूस किए गए।
वहीं जिला मुख्यालय बैकुंठपुर सहित सूरजपुर एवं बलरामपुर जिले के लोगों को भूकंप का हल्का झटका महसूस हुआ। हालांकि भूकंप का अंतराल इतना कम था कि लोगों को इससे ज्यादा फर्क नहीं पड़ा। भूकंप के झटके उपरी मंजिलों में रह रहे लोगों को ज्यादा पता चले।
भूकंप से कहीं भी कोई नुकसान की खबर नहीं है। अधिकांश लोगों को इसका एहसास भी नहीं हुआ। मौसम विज्ञानी एएम भट्ट ने कहा कि यह भूकंप का मामूली झटका था। इसका इसर सरगुजा एवं आसपास के क्षेत्रों में नहीं हुआ है।
फाल्ट जोन में है क्षेत्र
कोरिया जिले का सोनहत क्षेत्र फाल्ट जोन में है। करीब तीन वर्ष पूर्व 01 सितंबर 2018 को भी यहां 4.7 तीव्रता का भूकंप आया था। इसका असर ज्यादा हुआ था। बैकुंठपुर में छतों के पंखे एवं घर में रखे सामान हिल गए थे। फाल्ट जोन में हमेशा भूकंप का खतरा बना रहता है।
उत्तरी छत्तीसगढ़ में भूकंप के कई केंद्र
उत्तरी छत्तीसगढ़ का सरगुजा, कोरिया जिला भूकंप की दृष्टि से फाल्ट जोन माना जाता है। 10 अक्टूबर 2000 को कोरबा-सरगुजा के बीच सुरता में 4.5 तीव्रता का भूकंप आया था। इसका व्यापक असर हुआ था। वहीं वर्ष 2001 में अंबिकापुर क्षेत्र के गोरता में 3.6 तीव्रता का भूकंप आया था।

Earthquake tremors were felt in North Chhattisgarh at 8.10 am on Monday morning. The epicenter of the quake was in Sonhat, North West region, about 17 km from Korea district headquarters Baikunthpur. The magnitude of the earthquake was measured at 4.6 on the Richter scale. Tremors of the earthquake were felt in the areas of Sonhat and Ramgarh.
At the same time, people of Surajpur and Balrampur districts including district headquarters Baikunthpur felt a mild tremor of the earthquake. However, the interval of the earthquake was so short that it did not make much difference to the people. The tremors of the earthquake should be known more to the people living in the upper floors.
There is no report of any damage from the earthquake anywhere. Most people didn’t even realize it. Meteorologist AM Bhatt said that it was a minor tremor of the earthquake. This has not happened in Surguja and surrounding areas.

Surguja, Korea district of North Chhattisgarh is considered to be a fault zone from the point of view of earthquake. On 10 October 2000, an earthquake of magnitude 4.5 struck Surat between Korba-Surguja. It had a wide impact. At the same time, in the year 2001, there was an earthquake of 3.6 magnitude in Gorta of Ambikapur area.
