रायपुर | [छत्तीसगढ़ बुलेटिन] | राज्य के बस्तर जिले में स्थित विश्व प्रसिद्ध चित्रकोट जलप्रपात में शुक्रवार दोपहर 1 युवती ने छलांग लगा दी। युवती के आत्महत्या करने के दौरान पूरी घटना को पास में मौजूद एक पर्यटक ने अपने मोबाइल में कैप्चर कर लिया है। कुछ ही देर में यह वीडियो सोशल मीडिया में वायरल हो गया। जलप्रतात में छलांग लगाने वाली युवती कहां की है, छलांग क्यों लगाई इसका पता नहीं चल पाया है। घटना की जानकारी मिलते ही जलप्रपात में पुलिस बल तैनात कर दिया गया है। वहीं गोताखोरों द्वारा पिछले 5 घंटे से युवती की तलाश की जा रही है।
लोहंडीगुड़ा एसडीओपी पंकज ठाकुर ने बताया कि घटना की जानकारी मिलते ही पुलिस बल और गोताखोरों की टीम पहुंची है। युवती की तलाश की जा रही है, लेकिन अभी तक उसकी बरामदगी नहीं हो पाई है। कुछ प्रत्यक्षदर्शियों ने घटना के संबंध में बताया कि जलप्रपात में गर्मी की वजह से भीड़ कम थी, तभी अचानक 1 युवती घूमते-घूमते जलप्रपात के करीब पहुंच गई। अमूमन कई पर्यटक सेल्फी लेने पानी के करीब पहुंच जाते हैं। लोगों ने युवती को सेल्फी लेने पास जाना समझ लिया। जलधारा के पास युवती के पहुंचने पर लोगों ने आवाज दी, जिसके बाद युवती ने छलांग लगा दी।
सुरक्षा के लिए खास इंतजाम नहीं
दिनदहाड़े एक युवती के जलप्रपात में छलांग लगा देने पर सुरक्षा को लेकर भी सवाल उठ रहे हैं। पर्यटकों ने इस घटना के लिए पुलिस व प्रशासन को जिम्मेदार ठहराया है। वहीं ग्राम विकास समिति के लोग भी वहां तैनात रहते हैं, लेकिन घटना के समय वहां कोई मौजूद नहीं था। पर्यटन क्षेत्र में इस तरह की लापरवाही से बस्तर की ख्याति भी धूमिल हो रही है।
पर्यटकों का कहना है कि जलप्रपात में पानी के नजदीक जाने से रोकने के लिए कुछ कटिले तार लगाए गए हैं, जो काफी नहीं हैं। पुलिस विभाग को सुरक्षा बल तैनात किया जाना चाहिए, जिससे कि किसी भी व्यक्ति द्वारा इस तरह के कदम उठाए जाने पर उन्हें रोका जा सके। आज अगर पुलिस बल तैनात रहती तो शायद उस युवती को बचा लिया जाता।

Some eyewitnesses told in relation to the incident that due to the heat in the waterfall, the crowd was less, then suddenly 1 young woman roamed near the waterfall. Usually many tourists reach close to the water to take selfies. People mistook the girl to go near to take selfie. When the girl reached near the water stream, people gave voice, after which the girl jumped.
No special security arrangements
Questions are also being raised about the safety of a girl who jumped into the waterfall in broad daylight. Tourists have blamed the police and administration for the incident. At the same time, the people of the Village Development Committee are also posted there, but no one was present there at the time of the incident. Bastar’s reputation is also getting tarnished due to such negligence in the tourism sector.
Tourists say that some barbed wire has been installed to prevent the waterfall from going near the water, which is not enough. Security forces should be deployed to the police department, so that any person taking such steps can be stopped. Had the police force been deployed today, perhaps that girl would have been saved.
