बेंगलुरु | [कोर्ट बुलेटिन] | कर्नाटक हाईकोर्ट के जज एचपी संदेश ने सोमवार को कहा कि एसीबी (भ्रष्टाचार निरोध ब्यूरो) के खिलाफ टिप्पणी के बाद उन्हें तबादला करने की धमकी दी गई। जस्टिस ने पिछले सप्ताह एसीबी और उसके कामकाज पर बेंगलुरु शहर के उपायुक्त कार्यालय में एक उप तहसीलदार की जमानत याचिका पर सुनवाई करते हुए टिप्पणी की थी। जस्टिस संदेश ने कहा था कि यह एक ‘कलेक्शन सेंटर’ बन गया है। उन्होंने यह भी कहा कि वह इस तरह की धमकियों से बेफिक्र हैं।
जस्टिस संदेश ने पिछले सप्ताह एसीबी और उसके कामकाज पर बेंगलुरु शहर के उपायुक्त कार्यालय में एक उप तहसीलदार पी.एस. महेश की जमानत याचिका पर सुनवाई करते हुए टिप्पणी की थी। कार्यालय के दो कर्मचारियों को भूमि विवाद में अनुकूल आदेश के बदले 5 लाख रुपये की रिश्वत लेने के आरोप में गिरफ्तार किया गया था।
कोर्ट ने इस बात पर आपत्ति जताई थी कि कैसे वरिष्ठ अधिकारियों की सुरक्षा की जा रही है और मामले में केवल कनिष्ठ कर्मचारियों पर मुकदमा चलाया जा रहा है। इसी मामले में एसीबी ने आज एक संबंधित घटनाक्रम में आईएएस अधिकारी और बेंगलुरु शहर के पूर्व उपायुक्त मंजूनाथ जे को गिरफ्तार किया।
आईएएस अफसर गिरफ्तार
भ्रष्टाचार मामले में कर्नाटक के एंटी करप्शन ब्यूरो (एसीबी) ने सोमवार को आईएएस अधिकारी जे मंजूनाथ को गिरफ्तार किया। मंजूनाथ पर बंगलूरू शहर में उपायुक्त रहते हुए भ्रष्टाचार के आरोप लगे थे। मंजूनाथ के खिलाफ यह कार्रवाई कर्नाटक हाईकोर्ट के सख्त तेवर अपनाने के बाद हुई है।
कर्नाटक हाईकोर्ट ने तीखी टिप्पणी करते हुए एसीबी की कार्यप्रणाली पर सवाल उठाए थे। हाईकोर्ट ने कहा था एसीबी कलेक्शन सेंटर बनता जा रहा है और एसीबी प्रमुख को मंजूनाथ के खिलाफ क्लोजर रिपोर्ट पेश करने के लिए भी कहा था। एसीबी ने मंजूनाथ को यशवंतपुर में उनके आवास से गिरफ्तार किया। मंजूनाथ को 1 जुलाई को बंगलूरू में एकीकृत बाल संरक्षण योजना के निदेशक के रूप में स्थानांतरित किया गया था।
कर्नाटक में इससे पहले 21 मई को, एक उप तहसीलदार पी एस महेश को एक अनेकल निवासी से कथित तौर पर 38 गुंटा भूमि के संबंध में एक अनुकूल ऑर्डर पास करने के लिए 5 लाख रुपये की रियवत लेते हुए रंगे हाथ गिरफ्तार कर कोर्ट के समक्ष पेश किया गया था।

The remark was made while hearing Mahesh’s bail plea. Two employees of the office were arrested for accepting a bribe of Rs 5 lakh in return for a favorable order in a land dispute.
The court had objected to how senior officers were being protected and only junior employees were being prosecuted in the matter. In a related development, the ACB today arrested Manjunath J, an IAS officer and former deputy commissioner of Bengaluru city.
IAS officer arrested
The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) of Karnataka on Monday arrested IAS officer J Manjunath in a corruption case. Manjunath was accused of corruption while being the Deputy Commissioner in Bangalore city. This action against Manjunath has come after the Karnataka High Court adopted a strict stand.
The Karnataka High Court, while making a scathing remark, raised questions on the functioning of the ACB. The High Court had said that the ACB was becoming a collection center and had also asked the ACB chief to submit a closure report against Manjunath. ACB arrested Manjunath from his residence in Yeshwantpur. Manjunath was transferred on July 1 as the director of the Integrated Child Protection Scheme in Bangalore.
Earlier on May 21 in Karnataka, a Deputy Tehsildar PS Mahesh was arrested red-handed while taking a bribe of Rs 5 lakh from an Anekal resident for allegedly passing a favorable order in respect of 38 Gunta land. it was done.
