नई दिल्ली | [नेशनल बुलेटिन] | दिल्ली यूनिवर्सिटी के डॉ.आंबेडकर कॉलेज में थिएटर सोसायटी इलहाम का नाम बदल दिया गया। दिल्ली यूनिवर्सिटी के डॉ.आंबेडकर कॉलेज के छात्रों ने कॉलेज प्रशासन पर थिएटर सोसायटी का नाम बदलने का आरोप लगाया है क्योंकि यह उर्दू में था। हालांकि कॉलेज प्रशासन ने आरोपों से इनकार किया है।
छात्रों के अनुसार थिएटर सोसायटी का नाम “इल्हाम” था जिसे बदलकर “आरम्भ” कर दिया गया है। हालांकि, मीडिया रिपोर्ट के मुताबिक प्रिंसिपल आरएन दुबे ने आरोपों से इनकार किया और इसे अपने खिलाफ “राजनीतिक प्रतिशोध” करार दिया।
थिएटर ग्रुप के एक सदस्य ने कहा कि कुछ हफ्ते पहले कॉलेज के एक अधिकारी ने उनसे कहा था कि “इल्हाम” नाम प्रबंधन को स्वीकार्य नहीं है और उन्हें नाम बदल देना चाहिए।
खालसा कॉलेज, लेडी श्रीराम कॉलेज, मिरांडा हाउस और डॉ.आंबेडकर कॉलेज ने उर्दू पढ़ाना बंद कर दिया गया है। इन कॉलेजों में उर्दू शिक्षकों के स्थायी पद थे लेकिन पिछले कई वर्षों से उन पदों पर कोई भर्ती नहीं हुई है।
भारत के उर्दू अखबार इंकलाब के मुताबिक ऐसे परिदृश्य में, उक्त कॉलेजों में भाषाओं के शिक्षक नहीं हैं क्योंकि पिछले सभी शिक्षक रिटायर हो चुके हैं।
आयोग ने डीयू के वीसी, उक्त 4 कॉलेजों के डीन और डीयू के उर्दू विभाग के प्रमुख को 30 दिनों के भीतर इस मुद्दे पर अपनी रिपोर्ट भेजने का निर्देश दिया था। नोटिस 20 दिसंबर 2021 को जारी किया गया था।
Theater Society renamed in DU’s Dr.Ambedkar College
New Delhi | [National Bulletin] | The name of Theater Society Ilham was changed to Dr. Ambedkar College of Delhi University. Students of Delhi University’s Dr. Ambedkar College have accused the college administration of renaming the Theater Society as it was in Urdu. However, the college administration has denied the allegations.
According to the students the name of the theater society was “Ilham” which has been changed to “Aarambh”. However, according to media reports, Principal RN Dubey denied the allegations and termed it as “political vendetta” against him.
A member of the theater group said that a few weeks ago a college official told them that the name “Ilham” was not acceptable to the management and that they should change the name.
Khalsa College, Lady Shri Ram College, Miranda House and Dr. Ambedkar College have stopped teaching Urdu. There were permanent posts of Urdu teachers in these colleges but no recruitment has taken place on those posts for the last several years.
According to India’s Urdu newspaper Inquilab, in such a scenario, there are no teachers of languages in the said colleges as all the previous teachers have retired.
The commission had directed the VC of DU, the deans of the said 4 colleges and the head of the Urdu department of DU to send their reports on the issue within 30 days. The notice was issued on 20 December 2021.
