सिंह ने 2007 में यह स्टोर खरीदा था। उन्होंने कहा, “वह समुदाय की मदद करना चाहते हैं। यह पहली बार नहीं है जब उन्होंने कीमतें कम की हैं। 2008 में मंदी के दौरान भी उन्होंने गैस की कीमतों में भी कटौती की थी। अभी हर कोई मुश्किल दौर से गुजर रहा है। मैं लोगों की मदद करने की कोशिश कर रहा हूं।”

गैस को कम कीमतों पर बेचने पर सिंह को प्रतिदिन करीब 150 डॉलर का नुकसान हो रहा है। उन्होंने कहा कि उन्हें नहीं पता कि वह इस हानि को कब तक सहन कर पाएंगे, लेकिन वह लंबे समय तक लोगों की मदद करने की कोशिश करेंगे। सिंह ने कहा कि समुदाय हमेशा एक-दूसरे की मदद करते रहे हैं।
