रायपुर | [छत्तीसगढ़ बुलेटिन] | मुंगेली जिले की पुलिस ने युवक राजकुमार पात्रे की हत्या के आरोप में लोक गायक गोफेलाल गेंदले को गिरफ्तार कर लिया है। गेंदले ने अपने किए गए अपराध के बदले राजकुमार को लालच देकर जेल भेजा था। रिहा होने पर राजकुमार ने जब पैसे मांगे तो गेंदले ने एक मित्र महेश महंत के साथ मिलकर 20 जुलाई को उसकी हत्या कर दी। गेंदले ने जुर्म कबूल लिया है। महंत फरार है।
अधिकारियों के अनुसार, पुलिस को जानकारी मिली है कि कुछ महीने पहले गेंदले ने चोरी की एक ट्रैक्टर-ट्रॉली खरीदी थी। जैसे ही पुलिस को घटना की जानकारी मिली, गेंदले ने राजकुमार से अनुरोध किया कि वह उसका अपराध अपने सिर पर ले ले।
बदले में मोटरसाइकिल और पैसे देने का वादा किया था। इसके बाद गेंदले के अपराध की जिम्मेदारी लेते हुए राजकुमार जेल चला गया था और वह हाल ही में रिहा हुआ था। रिहा होने के बाद राजकुमार ने पैसे और मोटरसाइकिल के लिए गेंदले से मुलाकात की तथा अपना वादा पूरा करने का दबाव डाला। इससे गेंदले नाराज हो गया।
20 जुलाई को गेंदले और महंत ने राजकुमार को शराब पीने के लिए बुलाया और उसे धरमपुरा इलाके में ले गए। दोनों ने उसे जमकर पीटा और उसे मृत समझकर फरार हो गए।
22 जुलाई को पुलिस को राष्ट्रीय राजमार्ग के करीब एक घायल व्यक्ति के होने की जानकारी मिली, तब एक दल को घटनास्थल के लिए रवाना किया गया। बाद में राजकुमार को अस्पताल पहुंचाया गया, जहां चिकित्सकों ने उसे मृत घोषित कर दिया।

According to officials, the police have received information that a few months back, Gendle had bought a stolen tractor-trolley. As soon as the police learned of the incident, Gendle requested Rajkumar to take the crime on his head.
In return, he had promised to give a motorcycle and money. After this, Rajkumar went to jail, taking responsibility for Gendle’s crime and he was recently released. After his release, the prince met Gendle for money and a motorcycle and pressured him to fulfill his promise. This angered the ballerina.
On July 20, Gendle and Mahant called Rajkumar for a drink and took him to the Dharampura area. Both of them beat him fiercely and mistook him to be dead and fled.
On 22 July, when the police came to know about the presence of an injured person near the national highway, a team was rushed to the spot. Rajkumar was later rushed to the hospital, where doctors declared him brought dead.
