परिचय- बोकारो, झारखंड
सुधीर अपने साइड पर मजदूरों को कल का काम समझा रहा था। उसने कहा आप सबकी मेहनत रंग लाई सामुदायिक भवन बहुत जल्दी तैयार हो गया। अब कल से इसका रंग- रोगन और बिजली- पानी का काम शुरू करेंगे। अब आप लोग छुट्टी कर लो। तभी विधायक की बेटी जया का फोन आया। सुधीर के फोन उठाते ही उसने चिल्लाते हुए कहा – सुधीर तुम मेरा फोन क्यों नहीं उठाते हो। क्यों उठाऊं तुम्हारा फोन जब मुझे तुमसे कोई बात ही नहीं करनी है। तुम मेरा पीछा छोड़ क्यों नहीं देती। सुधीर ने नाराज होते हुए कहा।
कैसे छोड़ दूं तुमको, तुम तो मेरे दिल में बसे हो। जया अब प्यार जताते हुए बोली।
देखो मैं तुम्हें आखिरी बार समझा रहा हूं, मुझसे इस तरह की बातें मत करो। प्यार करने के लिए तुम्हारे पास हजारों लड़के हैं मुझ गरीब के पीछे क्यों पड़ी हो। सुधीर ने अनुरोध भरे स्वर में कहा।
मुझे तो बस तुम ही पसंद हो मैं तुमसे अभी मिलना चाहती हूं। कहां हो बताओ अभी वहीं आती हूं। जया ने प्यार जताते हुए कहा।
मगर मैं तुमसे नहीं मिल सकता, मैं अभी जरूरी काम कर रहा हूं। सुधीर ने इंकार करते हुए कहा। इतना सुनते ही जया भड़क गई। मैं सब समझ रही हूं तुम मुझसे क्यों नहीं मिलना चाहते हो।
सुना है जो नई वीडियो आई है उसका नाम जूही है। बड़ी जवान और सुंदर है। उससे तुम्हारी खूब दोस्ती चल रही है। जया ने गुस्से में कहा।
तुम जो समझ रही हो ऐसा कुछ नहीं है। तुम पहले अपनी गंदी नजर ठीक करो। मैं जूही मैडम की बहुत इज्जत करता हूं। वे मेरी अन्नदाता हैं। उनके बारे में कुछ भी गलत मत बोलना समझी तुम।
सुधीर ने नाराजगी जाहिर करते हुए कहा।
बहुत बुरा लग रहा है न सुनकर तुमको। जब तुम दोनों में कुछ नहीं है तो उसने तुम्हें दस लाख रुपए का भवन निर्माण का काम क्यों दिया। तुम्हें काम ही चाहिए था तो मुझसे कहते मैं तुम्हें अपने पापा से कहकर करोड़ों रूपये का काम दिलवा देती। जया ने कहा।
अपनी बकवास बंद करो मुझे न तुमसे कोई मदद चाहिए न तुम्हारे विधायक पापा से। सुधीर ने डांटते हुए कहा। अभी तुम मैडम के बारे में नहीं जानती हो। इसलिए बकवास कर रही हो। अब मैं फोन काट रहा हूं। मुझे तुमसे बात करने में कोई रुचि नहीं है।
इतना कहकर सुधीर ने जया का फोन काट दिया।
लेकिन जया ने फिर फोन लगाया। सुधीर ने फोन उठाते हुए कहा तुमको मेरी बात समझ में नहीं आ रही है। जब मैंने कह दिया कि मुझे तुमसे कोई बात नहीं करनी है तो फिर क्यों मुझे परेशान कर रही हो।
जया ने कहा तुम जिस वीडियो के घमंड में कूद रहे हो न बाबू तो सुन लो मेरे पापा के सामने वो कुछ भी नहीं है। आज आई थी मेरे पापा के पास मगर मेरे पापा ने उसका क्लास लेकर उसे वापस भेज दिया। मेरे पापा जल्दी ही उसका ट्रांसफर करा देंगे फिर तुम जपते रहना जूही मैडम के नाम की माला समझे तुम।
लौट कर फिर तुम मेरे ही पास आओगे। इसलिए ज्यादा उस जूही के घमंड में उड़ो मत। तुमको मैं प्यार से समझा रही हूं आज के बाद उस जूही के चक्कर में मत रहना। तुमको जो चाहिए मुझसे मांगो, मैं सब दूंगी तुम्हें। नहीं तो। मेरे पापा उसका जो करेंगे वो करेंगे मैं उस जूही को चुहिया बना दूंगी और तुम्हारी टांग तोड़ दूंगी समझे तुम। अब बोलो मुझसे मिल रहे हो या नहीं।
जया की बात सुनकर सुधीर चौक गया जूही विधायक से मिलने क्यों गई थी और क्या बात हुई जो विधायक ने उल्टा सीधा कहा। उसे जूही की चिंता होने लगी। उसे पता था गुप्ता कैसा आदमी है।
अब साप क्यों सूंघ गया बच्चू बोलो चुप क्यों हो गए। जया ने फोन पर पूछा।
सुधीर ने सोचा बाप- बेटी दोनों खतरनाक है। मुझे जया से मिलकर पहले इसे शांत करना होगा। फिर आगे देखेंगे क्या करना है।
उसने कहा ठीक है जया मैं तुमसे मिलने को तैयार हूं बोलो कहा आना है।
अब आए न लाइन पर जया ने उसका मजाक उड़ाते हुए कहा। तुम सिनेमा हॉल के पास जो लवली काफी हाउस है वहां पहुंचो, मैं तुरंत आती हूं। चिंता मत करो वहां का सारा खर्चा मैं ही करूंगी।
जया ने कहा और फोन काट दिया।
सुधीर ने फोन कटते ही तुरंत जूही को फोन लगाया। फोन उठाते ही सुधीर ने पूछा आप कहां हैं मैडम।
मैं अपने आवास पर हूं क्यों क्या हुआ। मेरी याद आ रही थी क्या? जूही ने हंसते हुए कहा।
कैसी लड़की है अभी विधायक के घर से पता नहीं क्या क्या बहसबाजी करके आई है और अभी इसे मजाक सूझ रहा है।
वो सब छोड़िए मैडम विधायक जी के यहां क्यों गईं थीं, आपको बताया था न वो सही आदमी नहीं है। सुधीर ने चिंता जताते हुए कहा।
क्या बात है मेरे लाल मेरी बड़ी चिंता हो रही है।
मैडम मजाक छोड़िए न बताइए कोई जायदा दिक्कत तो नहीं है वरना मैं एमपी साहब से बात करूंगा। उनसे मेरे बहुत अच्छे संबंध हैं। उनके चुनाव में मैं और मेरे दोस्त उनको चुनाव जिताने में खूब मदद करते हैं।
उसकी बात सुनकर जूही जोर जोर से हंसने लगी। अरे मेरे लाल कितना चिंता करता है मेरी। कोई बहस बाजी नहीं हुई है तुम चिंता मत करो।
एक काम करो अगर तुम्हें ज्यादा चिंता हो रही है तो आओ मेरे पास आज मैं बहुत थक गई हूं अपने हाथ से एक कप चाय बनाकर पिला दो। जूही उस समय अपने बेड पर लेटी हुई थी।
माफ करें मैडम मैं अभी आपके पास नहीं आ सकता हूं। सुधीर ने इंकार करते हुए कहा। मुझे किसी से मिलने जाना है।
इतना सुनते ही जूही उठ कर बैठ गई। क्या कहा बेटा तुम नहीं आ सकते। तुमको पता है न मुझे इंकार मंजूर नहीं है।
माफ करें मैडम अभी तो नहीं लेकिन रात में खाना खाने जरूर आऊंगा और आपके लिए कुछ लेता आऊंगा। बोलिए क्या खाएंगी।
मैं तुम्हारी जान खाऊंगी समझे। तुमने कभी इनकार नहीं किया। कहीं तुम अपनी किसी गर्ल फ्रेंड से तो नहीं मिलने जा रहे हो। अगर ऐसा हुआ न मैं आकर दोनों को कच्चा चबा जाऊंगी। जूही ने गुस्सा करते हुए कहा।
हे भगवान क्या मुसीबत है कोई कुछ समझने को तैयार नहीं है। सुधीर ने मन ही मन सोचा और कहा मैडम आप नाराज मत हो मैं दो घंटे में आ जाऊंगा।
जूही ने गुस्से में फोन काट दिया।
