Dubai Match: Blue on the sky, Vegetable on the ground !!

Pakistan down, India up again! Mumbai-based film actress Natasha Stankovic of the Republic of Serbia (former Yugoslokia) is delighted to see Islamic Pakistan beating Pakistan in a T20 cricket competition last night (28 August 2022) in Dubai. cause ? If the Pakistani middle number players could not have picked up the wickets of Bhuvneshwar Kumar (4 for 26)? If Pakistan’s last batsman Shahnawaz Dahani, Bhuvneshwar and Anshdweep had not hit one and a half hundred for his team by hitting two sixes? What would have happened if India had not conceded runs in the remaining five overs after the 15th over? Would you have been careful when bowling?

The answer to all this is only one. Vijayalakshmi blesses the fortunate. On this standard, only the team of Rahul Sharma turned out to be lucky. India won. Pakistan got defeated. On National Sports Day, these Indians paid tribute to Major Dhyan Chand.

दुबई मैच: गगन पर नीला, जमीं पर सब्ज

       पाकिस्तान नीचे, भारत फिर ऊपर ! इस्लामी पाकिस्तान को टी-20 क्रिकेट प्रतिस्पर्धा में दुबई में कल रात (28 अगस्त 2022) को हराने पर खुशी से सर्वाधिक विभोर हुयी हैं मुम्बई की फिल्मी अदाकारा सर्बिया गणराज्य (पूर्व युगोस्लोकिया) की नताशा स्तानकोविच। कारण ? उसके 28-वर्षीय गुजराती पति हार्दिक हिमांशु पांड्या (बड़ौदावाले) ने दो हजार किलोमीटर दूर अरब सागर पार दुबई में आखिरी गेंदों पर दो चौके तथा एक छक्का लगा कर तिरंगा लहराया। गत वर्ष शारजाह में पाकिस्तान से खाई हार का प्रतिशोध ले लिया। अन्य उल्लिखित होने वालों में वे हजारों हिन्दू भी हैं, जिन्होंने इस अरबद्वीप के शिवकृष्ण देवालय में  मातृभूमि के लिए अर्चना की थी।

इधर ढाई हजार किलोमीटर दूर राजधानी लखनऊ में काषायधारी भाजपायी मुख्यमंत्री योगी आदित्यनाथजी ने हार्दिक की टीम को ‘‘हार्दिक बधाई‘‘ दी। एक संदेश में उन्होंने कहा: ‘‘अद्भुत विजय! भारतीय क्रिकेट टीम ने आज अद्वितीय प्रदर्शन करते हुए पाकिस्तान को हराकर एशिया कप में अपने सफर का शानदार शुभारम्भ किया है। हार्दिक बधाई! टीम इंडिया के विजय का यह क्रम अनवरत चलता रहे, यही कामना है। जय हो!!‘‘

मगर योगीजी से कहीं अधिक पुलकित हुए पिता-पुत्र द्वय मुम्बई और दिल्ली में। वे हैं: क्रिकेट कंट्रोल बोर्ड के सचिव जय अमित शाह तथा पिताश्री अमिताभ अनिलचन्द्र शाह (केन्द्रीय गृहमंत्री)। भाजपायी चुनावी विजय के इस रणनीतिकार (अमित शाह) को इससे कम आह्लाद कतई नहीं हुआ होगा जितना 22 जून 2022 के दिन। तब पाटीदारों के जुझारू नेता हार्दिक भरत पटेल सोनिया कांग्रेस तज कर भाजपा में भर्ती हो गये थे। आगामी गुजरात विधानसभा के चुनाव में कांग्रेस का भट्टा बैठ सकता है।

मगर इस मैच में इन सब दृश्यों से कही अधिक दिल को छू जाने वाली घटना रही पाकिस्तानी क्रिकेटर फख्र-ए जमां वाली, जिसने निखालिस खेल की भावना का यशस्वी प्रतिमान पेश किया। अपने ईमानदार उत्सर्ग से सबकी हृतंत्री को निनादित कर दिया। फख्र ए जमां ने साबित कर दिया कि क्रिकेट भलेमानुस का खेल है।  खैबर पख्तूनख्वाह घाटी (मर्दान शहर) का  यह पठान ‘‘लाहौर कलंदर‘‘ (मस्त फकीर) टीम के लिये खेलता है। दुबई में पहले नंबर पर खेलते उन्होंने अवेश की गेंद पर हिट किया, वह कार्तिक के हाथों लग गयी। तुर्रा रहा कि न गेंदबाज ने, न कैच करनेवाले ने और न अंपायर ने कोई अपील की अथवा सुनी। चुपचाप पैविलियन की ओर खुद जमां चल दिये। उन्हें लगा कि गेंद उनके बल्ले से लगी है। अर्थात स्वयं को कैच आउट करार देकर वे लौट आया। क्या नायाब नैतिकता है ! सलाम इस पाकिस्तानी खिलाड़ी को।

क्रिकेट सदैव अनुमान और अंदेशों पर आधारित रहा है। ख्याल यही आता है कि अगर यह न होता तो ! तो शायद ऐसा हो जाता!! इत्यादि। यही हुआ दुबई के मैदान पर। यदि भारतीय कप्तान कन्नौर लोकेश राहुल, जो कर्नाटक के खिलाड़ी हैं और आईपीएल स्पर्धा में लखनऊ सुपर ज्वाइंट्स के कप्तान है, बिना खाता खोले मैच की दूसरी गेंद पर नसीम शाह की सरल बॉल को अपने विकट से टकराने से रोक पाते तो? भारत को आखिरी ओवर तक रन के लिये लाले न पड़े होते। यदि स्टार बल्लेबाज विराट कोहली का सरल कैच पहले ही ओवर में फख्र-ए-जमां से न छूटा होता तो? भारत को विराट के 34 रनों की बजाये शून्य ही हस्तगत होता। उन्नीसवें ओवर में यदि बेहतरीन पाकिस्तानी गेंदबाज हैरिस राउफ तीन हल्के गेंद फेंककर चौके न लगवा देते तो? यदि पाकिस्तानी मध्य क्रमांक के खिलाड़ियों के विकेट भुवनेश्वर कुमार (26 रन पर 4 विकेट) न चटका पाते तो ? पाकिस्तान के आखिरी बल्लेबाज शाहनवाज दहानी, भुवनेश्वर तथा अंशद्वीप की गेंदों पर दो छक्के जड़ कर अपनी टीम के डेढ सौ न पहुंचाया होता तो ? भारत ने 15वें ओवर के बाद शेष पांच ओवरों में रन न लुटाये होते तो ? सावधान बोलिंग कर लेते तो ?

इन सबका उत्तर बस एक ही है। विजयलक्ष्मी भाग्यवानों का वरण करती है। इस मानक पर राहुल शर्मा की टीम ही किस्मत की धनी निकली। भारत जीता। पाकिस्तान को शिकस्त मिली। राष्ट्रीय खेल दिवस पर इन भारतीयों ने मेजर ध्यान चन्द को उम्दा श्रद्धांजलि दी।
