It is easy for every freedom-loving Indian to be naturally delighted with the revolutionary Shin Fein Party (meaning “us-us”) winning the legislative majority (Saturday 7 May 2022) in the nation of Northern Ireland. is bound to. For the first time in the last 101 years, such election results have come. Both (India and Irish) were British colonies. On the time of giving independence to both the nations, the British Raj had divided them. Both are facing its horrors till date. Ireland was independent for five centuries (since 1541) from the time of King Henry VIII, and India from 1857 when Queen Victoria took power from the merchant East India Company. But Northern Ireland and the Irish Republic still exist as two. divided. This tragic fact was written by the famous Irish playwright George Bernard Shah in a letter to the first Prime Minister of independent India (Jawaharlal Nehru): “The imperialists, like my home country, divided your country on the go.” (“Bunches”) “Of Old Letters”, Archived Publishers).

Thus, among the prominent Irish people who remained associated with the Indian mass struggle was Sister Nivedita, who was active in Indian art, history and the Congress movement. The second was Annie Besant. He presided over the Indian National Congress session. Alfred Webbs was the President of Congress in 1894. The poet-couple Cousins and Margaret Noble had adapted Rabindranath Tagore’s composition Janaganman into English. But Eamon de Valera, who was the third President of Ireland and affiliated with the rebel Irish Republican Army, was the most famous friend of India. The British prison had become the second home of this agitator like Gandhiji. He was the founder of the “Xin Fen” group. Once saved from being hanged by the British government because he was born in New York (14 October 1882 in America). Citizenship was different.
