कबीर मानव समाज के एक ऐसे वीर योद्धा हैं जो बुराइयों पर बहादुरी से लड़कर जीतने की अदम्य शक्ति और सामर्थ्य रखने वाले सद्गुरु है। कबीर एक महान संत, कवि और समाज सुधारक थे।वे युग पुरुष थे। युग दृष्टा थे। आत्मज्ञानी, साहसी एवं फक्कड़ थे। वे मानव धर्म के मसीहा थे। सत्य, अहिंसा और मानवतावाद के पुजारी। जाति, अधर्म, ढोंग, बाह्य आडंबर, अनाचार, अंधविश्वास तथा दूषित परंपराओं के विरोधी थे। कबीर अपने समय के एक क्रांतिकारी संत, गुरु थे।

वे मानव मात्र का कल्याण चाहने वाले युग प्रवर्तक थे। उन्होंने मानव समाज की बुराइयों का तीव्र विरोध अपनी वाणी, उपदेशों व प्रवचनों के माध्यम से करने की हिम्मत उनमें लाजवाब थी। उन्होंने धर्म, समाज में फैली बुराइयों को अपनी ज्ञानवाणी से जन-जन को मार्ग दिखाने का पावन कार्य किया। कबीर की ज्ञानवाणी सधुक्कडी भाषा में है। कबीर अनपढ़ थे किंतु अत्यंत प्रतिभाशाली थे। वह कहते हैं-

“मसी कागज छूयो नहीं, कलम गही नहीं हाथ। चारिक जुग को महातम, मुखहिं जनाई बात।।”

उनके ज्ञान की खुशबू हर युग में फैली हुई है। वे आज भी उतने ही प्रासंगिक है जितने अपने युग में। हर युग में उनके ज्ञान की आवश्यकता बढ़ती जाती है। आज की पढ़ी-लिखी पीढ़ी भी उनके ज्ञान को समझ नहीं पाती है उनकी एक -एक साखी  उन्हें सोचने, समझने को विवश कर देती है। उनका ज्ञान वास्तव में अद्भुत है।

समस्त मानव के लिए कल्याणकारी तथा उपयोगी है। उनके शिष्यों ने उनकी वाणीयों का ‘बीजक’ नाम से संग्रह किया है। जिसके मुख्य तीन भाग हैं -साखी, सबद और रेमैनी है। कबीर ने मुस्लिम और हिंदू धर्म की बुराइयों का जमकर विरोध किया था। दोनों ही धर्मों में आज भी ज्यों की त्यों बुराइयों विद्यमान है। कबीर ने अपनी उलट बांसी वाणी में बहुत कुछ कहने की हिम्मत दिखाई है। उनके पदों में रहस्यवाद का बेजोड़ प्रयोग हुआ है। उनके ज्ञान में तार्किकता है।

उनका ज्ञान सत्य की मशाल लिए हुए अज्ञान रूपी अंधकार को मिटाकर जीवन में एक प्रकाश पर्व का कार्य करता है। वे ज्ञानी ही नहीं बल्कि महान योगी थे। उनके ज्ञान वाणी में सहेज देखने को मिलता है। उनके ज्ञान रूपी साखियां गागर में सागर भरने का काम करती है। आज भी उनकी साखियों को गांव का अनपढ़ से लेकर ज्ञानी से ज्ञानी भी प्रयोग करता है।

कबीर एक जनवादी कवि एवं संत हैं। सार्थकता यह है कि उनकी इन ज्ञान रूपी वाणी को कितना आत्मसात किया जाए! आज के भटके हुए इंसान को इनका ज्ञान वही संदेश देता है जो युगों पहले उन्होंने जन-जन तक पहुंचाया था। प्रेम का, अहिंसा का, समानता का, मानवता का, दया का, सत्य का, मानवधर्म का, इंसानियत का जो संदेश उन्होंने अपनी वाणी के माध्यम से दिया था, जन-जन तक पहुंचाया था वह आज भी उतना ही सार्थकता लिए हुए हैं।

कबीर एकेश्वरवादी थे। वे मूर्ति -पूजा, अवतारवाद, व्रत, रोजा में विश्वास नहीं रखते थे। कबीर का ज्ञान नाथ पंथ और सूफीवाद से प्रभावित है। आज कबीर के ज्ञान को सामान्य इंसान भी सीख रहा है तो विश्वविद्यालय में भी कबीर को पढ़ाया जा रहा है। किंतु सच्चाई यह है की उनके ज्ञान को वास्तविक रूप से और व्यवहारिक रूप से आत्मसात करने की है। जो एक बड़ा मुश्किल काम है।

कबीर इंसानियत का पाठ पढ़ाने वाले  गुरु, संत एवं सुधारक है। कबीर की वाणी इंसानियत को गले लगाती है तो झूठ, कपटी, ढोंगी, बेईमानों पर करारा चोट भी करती है। उनका ज्ञान मरहम भी है और घाव भी है। उनका ज्ञान, ज्ञान का दरिया है। मानव को घड़कर महामानव बनाने का काम करता है। उनकी वाणी मनुष्य को एक सच्चा इंसान बनाती है। एक आदर्श परिवार, समाज और राष्ट्र का निर्माण करती हुई एक सुंदर दुनिया बनाने का काम करती है।

आज कबीर की वाणी को मधुर उच्चारण के बजाय सद्आचरण में उतारने की आवश्यकता है। कबीर के ज्ञान को जीवन में उतारने की आवश्यकता है। कबीर ने मानव मात्र की भलाई हेतु हर बुराई रूपी रोग के इलाज के लिए अपने भजनों, साखियों, पदों, और उपदेशों के माध्यम से ज्ञान रूपी मरम का काम किया है।

How relevant is Kabir today?

Kabir is such a brave warrior of human society who is a Sadguru who has indomitable power and ability to win by fighting bravely on evils. Kabir was a great saint, poet and social reformer. He was an era man. He was a visionary. He was intelligent, courageous and arrogant. He was the messiah of mankind. A priest of truth, non-violence and humanism. He was opposed to caste, unrighteousness, pretense, external pomp, incest, superstition and corrupted traditions. Kabir was a revolutionary saint, guru of his time.

He was the originator of the era who wanted the welfare of mankind. He had the courage to strongly oppose the evils of human society through his speech, sermons and discourses. He did the holy work of showing the path to the people through his knowledge of religion and the evils spread in the society. The knowledge of Kabir is in the Sadhukkadi language. Kabir was illiterate but extremely talented. he says-

“Don’t touch the paper, don’t touch the pen, don’t touch the pen.

The fragrance of his knowledge is spread in every era. They are as relevant today as they were in their era. The need for their knowledge increases with each age. Even the educated generation of today is unable to understand their knowledge, their every sakhi compels them to think and understand. His knowledge is truly amazing.

Beneficial and useful for all human beings. His disciples have collected his speeches under the name ‘Bijak’. It has three main parts – Sakhi, Sabad and Remaini. Kabir fiercely opposed the evils of Muslim and Hindu religion. Even today the same evils exist in both the religions. Kabir has shown the courage to say a lot in his reverse bansi speech. There is an unmatched use of mysticism in his posts. There is logic in his knowledge.

His knowledge, carrying the torch of truth, removes the darkness of ignorance and acts as a festival of light in life. He was not only a wise man but a great yogi. His knowledge can be seen saved in his speech. The sakhis in the form of their knowledge work to fill the ocean in Gagar. Even today, his sakhis are used by the village’s illiterate to the knowledgeable.

Kabir is a democratic poet and saint. The significance is that how much should be imbibed in these words of knowledge! His knowledge gives the same message to the lost man of today, which he had conveyed to the people ages ago. The message of love, non-violence, equality, humanity, kindness, truth, human religion, humanity, which he had conveyed through his speech, has carried the same meaning even today.

Kabir was a monotheist. He did not believe in idol-worship, incarnation, fasting, fasting. Kabir’s knowledge is influenced by the Nath cult and Sufism. Today, even a common man is learning the knowledge of Kabir, so Kabir is being taught in the university as well. But the truth is that their knowledge has to be assimilated realistically and practically. Which is a very difficult task.

Kabir is a guru, saint and reformer who teaches the lesson of humanity. If Kabir’s voice embraces humanity, it also inflicts a severe blow on lies, hypocrites, hypocrites and dishonest people. His knowledge is both a healer and a wound. His knowledge is the source of knowledge. Works to make human beings a superhuman. His speech makes a man a true human being. Works to create a beautiful world while building an ideal family, society and nation.

Today, instead of melodious utterance, there is a need to bring down the voice of Kabir in good conduct. There is a need to apply the knowledge of Kabir in life. Kabir, through his hymns, sakhis, verses, and sermons, has done the work of knowledge for the treatment of every evil form for the betterment of mankind.
