नई दिल्ली | [कोर्ट बुलेटिन] | दिल्ली हाईकोर्ट में बेंगलुरू की रहने वाली एक 49 साल की महिला ने अपने दोस्त के यूरोप यात्रा पर रोक की मांग के लिए याचिका दायर की है। महिला का कहना है कि उसका नोएडा में रहने वाला 48 साल का दोस्त इच्छामृत्यु के लिए यूरोप जाना चाहता है। मालूम हो कि भारत में इच्छामृत्यु अवैध है। ऐसे में दायर याचिका में कहा गया है कि व्यक्ति मरणासन्न अवस्था में भी नहीं है।
खबरों की मानें तो बुधवार को हाई कोर्ट के समक्ष दायर याचिका में महिला ने कहा कि उसका दोस्त 2014 से क्रोनिक फटीग सिंड्रोम से पीड़ित है।
हाई कोर्ट में दायर याचिका के मुताबिक, नोएडा निवासी का एम्स में फेकल माइक्रोबायोटा ट्रांसप्लांटेशन के जरिए इलाज चल रहा था, लेकिन कोरोना के दौरान उसे डोनर नहीं मिला जिस कारण उसका इलाज बीच में ही रुक गया।
याचिका में कहा गया है कि उसके लक्षण 2014 में शुरू हुए और पिछले 8 वर्षों में उसकी हालत बिगड़ती गई। इसके चलते वह पूरी तरह बिस्तर पर पड़े रहने को मजबूर हो गया है। वह घर के अंदर केवल कुछ ही कदम चल पाता है।
खुद को व्यक्ति की करीबी दोस्त बताने वाली महिला ने हाईकोर्ट में अनुरोध किया है कि अगर उसकी यात्रा को रोकने की याचिका को अनुमति नहीं दी गई तो शख्स के माता-पिता, परिवार के अन्य सदस्यों और दोस्तों को ‘अपूरणीय क्षति’ और ‘कठिनाई’ का सामना करना पड़ेगा।
याचिकाकर्ता के अनुसार, व्यक्ति अपने माता-पिता का इकलौता बेटा है। इसके अलावा उसकी एक बहन है। कोर्ट में दिए गए रिकॉर्ड में कथित तौर पर उस व्यक्ति द्वारा याचिकाकर्ता को भेजा गया एक संदेश भी शामिल है, जिसमें उसने लिखा है, ‘अब इच्छामृत्यु के ऑप्शन के अलावा कुछ नहीं है। बस बहुत हो गया।’
