नई दिल्ली | [कोर्ट बुलेटिन] | वर्तमान में मां काली फिल्म के विवादित पोस्टर के सुर्खियों में आई लीला मणिमेकलाई को मद्रास हाई कोर्ट ने फटकार लगाई है। मणिमेकलाई ने प्रसिद्ध तमिल फिल्म निर्देशक सुसी गणेशन पर ‘मी टू’ के आरोप लगाए थे। जिसके बाद साल 2019 में गणेशन ने उनके खिलाफ मानहानि याचिका के साथ एक स्थानीय अदालत का रुख किया था। उन्होंने दावा किया था कि उनके आरोप निराधार थे और फिल्म उद्योग में उनके नाम और प्रतिष्ठा को धूमिल करने के उद्देश्य से थे।
प्रसिद्ध तमिल फिल्म निर्देशक सुसी गणेशन के खिलाफ ‘मी टू’ प्रकरण में टिप्पणियां जारी रखने के मामले में मद्रास हाई कोर्ट ने मां काली की फिल्ममेकर लीला मणिमेकलाई को फटकार लगाई है। हाई कोर्ट ने मामले में मणिमेकलाई से जवाब मांगा है और अगली सुनवाई 21 जुलाई तक के लिए स्थगित कर दी है।
उन्होंने सुप्रीम कोर्ट का भी दरवाजा खटखटाया था, उस वक्त सुप्रीम कोर्ट ने पिछले साल दिसंबर में सैदापेट मजिस्ट्रेट अदालत को चार महीने के भीतर मुकदमा पूरा करने का निर्देश दिया था। इस बीच, गणेशन ने एक आवेदन के साथ हाई कोर्ट का रुख किया, जिसमें मणिमेकलाई और अन्य को उनके खिलाफ कोई आरोप लगाने से रोकने की मांग की गई थी। साथ ही 1.10 करोड़ रुपये के मुआवजे की भी मांग की थी। उस वक्त न्यायमूर्ति अब्दुल कुद्दोज ने 20 जनवरी को अपने आदेश में गणेशन के खिलाफ मानहानिकारक बयान देने या प्रकाशित करने से रोक लगाई थी।
मंगलवार को जब मामला सामने आया तो गणेशन के वकील ने न्यायमूर्ति कृष्णन रामास्वामी से कहा कि जनवरी में न्यायाधीश द्वारा दिए गए आदेश के बावजूद मणिमेकलाई ने गणेशन के खिलाफ आरोप लगाना जारी रखा है। अंतरिम स्थगन आदेश के बावजूद वह निर्देशक के खिलाफ इस तरह की टिप्पणी कैसे कर सकती हैं? इस पर आश्चर्य जताते हुए न्यायाधीश ने मणिमेकलाई को मामले में जवाब दाखिल करने के निर्देश के साथ मामले को 21 जुलाई तक के लिए स्थगित कर दिया।
‘Maa Kali’ filmmaker Manimekalai reprimanded by High Court, case related to Me-Too

Manimekalai had accused famous Tamil film director Susi Ganesan of ‘Me Too’. After which in the year 2019, Ganesan moved a local court with a defamation petition against him. He had claimed that his allegations were baseless and aimed to tarnish his name and reputation in the film industry.
Maa Kali’s filmmaker Leela Manimekalai has been reprimanded by the Madras High Court by the Madras High Court for continuing her remarks against renowned Tamil film director Susi Ganesan in the #MeToo episode. The High Court has sought Manimekalai’s reply in the matter and adjourned the next hearing till July 21.
He had also approached the Supreme Court, which in December last year directed the Saidapet magistrate court to complete the trial within four months. Meanwhile, Ganesan moved the High Court with an application seeking restraining Manimekalai and others from leveling any charges against him. Along with this, a compensation of Rs 1.10 crore was also demanded. At that time, Justice Abdul Quddoz in his January 20 order barred Ganesan from making or publishing defamatory statements.
When the matter came to light on Tuesday, Ganesan’s counsel told Justice Krishnan Ramaswamy that Manimekalai continued to level allegations against Ganesan despite the order passed by the judge in January. How can she make such remarks against the director despite the interim stay order? Expressing surprise at this, the judge adjourned the matter till July 21 with a direction to Manimekalai to file his reply in the matter.
