Hyderabad encounter was fake, murder case against policemen

New Delhi | [Court Bulletin] | In Hyderabad in 2019, 4 accused of rape and murder of a female doctor were claimed by the Hyderabad Encounter Case Police to have been killed in the encounter but it has been termed as fake by the panel constituted by the Supreme Court. The panel submitted its report to the Supreme Court on Friday and termed the 2019 encounter as fake. Along with this, it also recommended to start a murder case against 10 police officers involved in the encounter.

The panel said that it was claimed by the police that the accused of rape and murder had snatched the pistol from them and tried to escape, but these were found to be false.

Can’t believe the claims of the police

The panel said that the claims made by the police cannot be believed and the evidence found on the spot also does not corroborate it. The report said that the policemen had opened fire intentionally and they knew that doing so could result in death. Hence this encounter is fake and the claims of the police appear to be false.

Let us tell you that in January this year, the Justice Sirpukar Commission submitted its investigation report in the case of this encounter to the Supreme Court. This report was given in a sealed envelope, about which it has now been revealed.

The doctor was tortured by the toll plaza

Let us inform that in 2019, a 27-year-old veterinarian was kidnapped. After this, the incident of rape was carried out with her and after killing her the dead body was thrown under a bridge by the poor. He was kidnapped near a toll plaza. His body was burnt and an attempt was made to destroy the evidence.

The accused C. Chennakeshavulu, Jollu Siva, Mohammad Arif and Jollu Naveen were arrested by the police in November 2019. After this, the incident of encounter of these people came to the fore on December 6, when the police took them to the crime scene in search of evidence.

Investigation report delayed due to Corona

Police said that the accused tried to escape by snatching the pistol. During this, he was killed in an encounter. This encounter had created a buzz across the country. After this a commission was constituted to investigate the matter. However, in July 2020, the commission said that there is a nationwide lockdown. Therefore, he cannot submit his report at the moment. He will need some more time to investigate the incident.
