नई दिल्ली| [कोर्ट बुलेटिन] | अलगाववादी और पूर्व आतंकवादी यासीन मलिक को अदालत ने उम्रकैद की सजा सुनाई है। एनआईए की स्पेशल कोर्ट ने टेरर फंडिंग के मामले में यह सजा सुनाई है। जम्मू-कश्मीर के यासीन मलिक को 2 मामलों में उम्रकैद की सजा सुनाई गई है और 5 मामलों में 10 साल की सजा दी गई है। सभी सजाएं एकसाथ चलेंगी और अधिकतम सजा उम्रकैद की है। इस तरह ताउम्र यासीन मलिक को जेल काटनी होगी।
सजा सुनाए जाने के बाद यासीन मलिक चुपचाप बैठा रहा। यासीन मलिक को सजा के बीच कश्मीर घाटी में सुरक्षा कड़ी कर दी गई है और यासीन मलिक के घर पर ड्रोन से नजर रखी जा रही है। यही नहीं अदालत परिसर में भी सुरक्षा व्यवस्था बेहद कड़ी थी और फैसले से पहले डॉग स्क्वॉड के जरिए निगरानी की गई।
यासीन मलिक पर आतंकी गतिविधियों में शामिल होने, टेरर फंडिंग करने, आतंकी साजिश रचने और भारत के खिलाफ युद्ध छेड़ने जैसे आरोपों में कई मामले दर्ज हैं। भारतीय वायुसेना के 4 निहत्थे अफसरों, पूर्व होम मिनिस्टर मुफ्ती मोहम्मद सईद की बेटी के अपहरण समेत कई अन्य मामलों में भी यासीन मलिक आरोपी है।
NIA ने की थी फांसी की की मांग
एनआईए ने टेरर फंडिंग में दोषी ठहराए गए यासीन मलिक को फांसी की सजा दिए जाने की मांग की थी। एनआईए ने कहा कि यासीन मलिक ने जिस के जुर्मों को अंजाम दिया था, उसे देखते हुए मलिक को फांसी से कम की सजा नहीं दी जानी चाहिए। यासीन मलिक ने केस की सुनवाई के दौरान खुद भी अपना गुनाह कबूल किया था और वकील भी वापस कर दिया था। यासीन मलिक की सजा के ऐलान से पहले पटियाला हाउस कोर्ट के बाहर सुरक्षा व्यवस्था बेहद कड़ी रही।
“एक दशक से हिंसा से दूर हूं”
सुनवाई के दौरान यासीन मलिक ने कहा कि मैं एक दशक से ज्यादा वक्त से हिंसा से दूर हूं। यासीन के वकील फरहान ने कहा, ‘मैंने देश के 7 प्रधानमंत्रियों के साथ काम किया था। यहां तक कि पूर्व पीएम अटल बिहारी वाजपेयी ने ही उनका पासपोर्ट बहाल किया था।’ यासीन मलिक के वकील ने कहा कि जब उन्होंने साफगोई से अपने गुनाहों को कबूल कर लिया है और हिंसा का रास्ता छोड़ दिया था तो फिर उन्हें सजा देने में नरमी बरती जानी चाहिए।
श्रीनगर में शटडाउन
मीडिया रिपोर्ट्स के अनुसार दिल्ली में यासीन मलिक पर फैसले के बीच श्रीनगर के कुछ हिस्सों में शटडाउन देखा गया। शहर के कई हिस्सों में दुकानें बंद रहीं। हालांकि, इस दौरान सार्वजनिक परिवहन और निजी वाहनों की आवाजाही जारी रही। अधिकारियों ने जानकारी दी है कि कानून और व्यवस्था की स्थिति के मद्देनजर संवेदनशील इलाकों में सुरक्षा अधिकारियों को तैनात किया गया है। यासीन मलिक ने अलगाववादी संगठन जम्मू कश्मीर लिबरेशन फ्रंट की भी स्थापना की थी। यासीन मलिक पर टेरर फंडिंग के अलावा कई हत्याओं और भारत के खिलाफ युद्ध छेड़ने के भी आरोप हैं।
पैतृक आवास के पास बढ़ाई सुरक्षा
प्रत्यक्षदर्शियों ने कहा कि शहर के अधिकांश हिस्सों में दुकानें और व्यापारिक प्रतिष्ठान बंद रहे। सड़कों पर हालांकि यातायात सामान्य रहा। इसके साथ ही शांति और कानून व्यवस्था बनाए रखने के लिए मलिक के पैतृक निवास मैसुमा इलाके में सुरक्षा बलों की संख्या बढ़ाई गई है। घाटी में अभी तक किसी अप्रिय घटना की सूचना नहीं मिली है। हालांकि कुछ अन्य हिस्सों में आंशिक रूप से बंद की रिपोर्ट सामने आ रही हैं।

There are many cases registered against Yasin Malik on charges like involvement in terrorist activities, terror funding, terror conspiracy and waging war against India. Yasin Malik is also an accused in many other cases including the kidnapping of four unarmed officers of the Indian Air Force, the daughter of former Home Minister Mufti Mohammad Sayeed.
NIA had demanded the hanging
The NIA had demanded capital punishment for Yasin Malik, convicted in terror funding. The NIA said that considering the crimes committed by Yasin Malik, Malik should not be given a sentence less than death. Yasin Malik himself had confessed his crime during the hearing of the case and also returned the lawyer. Before the announcement of the sentence of Yasin Malik, the security arrangements outside the Patiala House Court were very tight.
“Away from violence for a decade”
During the hearing, Yasin Malik said that I am away from violence for more than a decade. Yasin’s lawyer Farhan said, ‘I had worked with 7 prime ministers of the country. Even former PM Atal Bihari Vajpayee had restored his passport. Yasin Malik’s lawyer said that when he has frankly confessed his crimes and had given up the path of violence, then there should be leniency in his punishment.
shutdown in srinagar
According to media reports, parts of Srinagar witnessed shutdown amid the verdict on Yasin Malik in Delhi. Shops remained closed in many parts of the city. However, the movement of public transport and private vehicles continued during this period. Officials have informed that security officers have been deployed in sensitive areas in view of the law and order situation. Yasin Malik also founded the separatist organization Jammu Kashmir Liberation Front. Apart from terror funding, Yasin Malik is also accused of several murders and waging war against India.
Increased security near ancestral house
Eyewitnesses said shops and business establishments remained closed in most parts of the city. However, traffic remained normal on the roads. Simultaneously, to maintain peace and law and order, the number of security forces has been increased in the Maisuma area, the ancestral residence of Malik. No untoward incident has been reported in the Valley so far. However, reports of partial shutdown are coming out in some other parts.
