बेटी बेचकर, चुका दी उधारी।
अजनबी संग बेटी को बिठाया गया,
जिस्म का खेल सिखाया गया,
तार-तार बिखर गई इंसानियत,
रूह पे ज़ख्म का लेप चढ़ाया गया।
छीन कर बचपन, यौवन का रूप दिया,
कली खिलने से पहले, काँटों पे सुला दिया।
औरत की क़ीमत होती कितनी,
ठहाके लगाकर दुनिया को बता दिया।
मासूम अब धंधा जमाने लगी,
सज-संवरकर रोज़ आने लगी।
हर रात बनती एक नई दुल्हन,
सुबह में विधवा नज़र आने लगी।
इस नगर से उस नगर जाती रही,
सिसकियाँ रौंद कर मुस्काती रही,
यही तो हुआ था सौदा उम्र भर का,
शराब के बोतल की क़ीमत चुकाती रही।
