परिचय– मुजफ्फरपुर, बिहार
मेरे सपनों में आके रोज़ कोई हलचल मचाता है,
मेरे पाँवों में डाले बेड़ियाँ, दंगल मचाता है।
उससे किस तरह लड़कर ज़माने भर से जीतेंगे,
जो मेरी धड़कनों से ही अपना घर बनाता है।
रेत के घर टिकते नहीं, उसे मालूम है लेकिन,
समंदर के किनारे ही हमेशा दर बनाता है।
मुझी पर पाँव रखता है, मुझे सीढ़ी बनाता है,
मुझे ही ठोकरों के दरमियाँ रहबर बताता है।
अजीब शख्स है ‘केसर’, नहीं वह भूलता मुझको,
कभी रोकर जताता है, कभी हँस कर जताता है।

Every day someone creates a stir in my dreams,
The fetters put at my feet, create riots.
How will you win by fighting with him for a long time?
Who builds his home from my heartbeats.
Sand houses don’t last, he knows but,
He always makes the rate by the seaside.
Keeps feet on me, makes me a ladder,
He is the one who guides me through the stumbling blocks.
Strange person is ‘saffron’, no he forgets me,
Sometimes it shows with laughter, sometimes it shows with laughter.
