वह क्या खूब फबता था, अपनी शादी से पहले।
अब वह राख मलता है, अपनी शादी के बाद।।
बहारों में चलता था, अपनी शादी से पहले।
अब सड़कों पे सोता है, अपनी शादी के बाद।।
वह क्या खूब फबता था——————।।

वह महफ़िल जमाता था, अपनी शादी से पहले।
वह क्या खूब हंसता था, अपनी शादी से पहले।।
घर में बैठा शोक मनाता है, अपनी शादी के बाद।
अब वो खूब रोता है, अपनी शादी के बाद।।
वह क्या खूब फबता था—————–।।

अपनी शादी से पहले, हसीन देखे थे उसने ख्वाब।
होटल में खाना खाता था, बनकर दीवाना और नवाब।।
सब से अब पर्दा करता है, अपनी शादी के बाद।
उधारी करता है सबसे, अपनी शादी के बाद।।
वह क्या खूब फबता था——————-।।

हुस्न की करता था तारीफ, खत मुहब्बत के लिखता था।
हुक्म सब पर चलाता था, खुद को जी.आज़ाद कहता था।।
खत -ए-तलाक लिखता है, अपनी शादी के बाद।
गुलामी तुक की करता है, अपनी शादी के बाद।।
