परिचय : कुरूक्षेत्र, हरियाणा.

मेरे जहन में भी यदा-कदा

कुछ सवाल भी उभरते है

आसमान की ऊँचाईयों से

आँखों में ख्वाब भी उतरते है

क्यों नहीं गया मैं पढ़ने स्कूल

मन में ख्याल बहुत चुभते है

खेलने के वक़्त करता काम

कोमल हाथ रात में दुखते है

सुन छोटू, सुन छोटू, मेरी सुन

ये शब्द मेरी नींद में भी गुंजते है

सच तो है मेरे भी कई ख़्वाब थे

मगर ग़रीबी में बनते और टूटते है

sometimes in my mind
some questions also arise

from the heights of the sky
dreams come in my eyes

why i didn’t go to school to study
Thoughts in my mind are very sweet

work while playing
soft hands hurt at night

Hear chotu, listen chotu, listen to me
These words reverberate in my sleep

The truth is I had many dreams too
But in poverty they are made and broken
