नई दिल्ली | [नेशनल बुलेटिन] | नया भवन बनाने के लिए पटना कलेक्ट्रेट में निर्माण कार्य चल रहा है तथा बेसमेंट के निर्माण के लिए खुदाई का काम हो रहा है। इस दौरान वहां से वाष्प से चलने वाला रोलर मिला है। बताया जाता है कि यह डेढ़ सौ साल पुराना है। इस रोलर को पटना संग्रहालय में रखा जाएगा। इस रोलर से ब्रिटिश काल में सड़क निर्माण का कार्य होता था।

निर्माण एजेंसी के पदाधिकारियों का कहना है कि जहां जिला परिषद का कार्यालय था, वहीं पर यह रोलर पड़ा था। कलेक्ट्रेट के मुख्य भवन के बेसमेंट को बनाने के लिए लगभग 70 फीट नीचे खुदाई का काम चल रहा है। जिला परिषद के पास ही यह रोलर मिट्टी में दबा था, जिसे सुरक्षित बाहर निकाला गया तथा इसकी सूचना जिलाधिकारी को दी गई। जिलाधिकारी ने इसे पटना संग्रहालय में रखने का आदेश दिया है ताकि म्यूजियम घूमने वाले लोग पुराने रोलर को देख सकें।

British carpet 150 year old roller found during excavation, will be kept in museum

Officials of the construction agency say that where the office of the Zilla Parishad was, this roller was lying there. Excavation work is going on about 70 feet below to make the basement of the main building of the Collectorate. This roller was buried in the soil near the Zilla Parishad, which was taken out safely and its information was given to the District Magistrate. The District Magistrate has ordered to keep it in Patna Museum so that people visiting the museum can see the old roller.
