अंबिकापुर | [छत्तीसगढ़ बुलेटिन] | सूरजपुर जिला अंतर्गत प्रतापपुर वन परिक्षेत्र के सिंघरा गांव में 50 वर्षीय महिला इंद्रमनिया को हाथी ने सूंड से उठाकर पटक दिया और कुचल कर मार डाला। मृतका की बेटी और बहू ने किसी तरह भागकर अपनी जान बचाई। मंगलवार को महिला का शव पोस्टमार्टम के बाद परिजनों को सौंप दिया गया। हाथी की मौजूदगी वाले स्थानों पर ग्रामीणों को नहीं जाने मुनादी वन विभाग द्वारा कराई गई है।

मिली जानकारी के अनुसार सिंघरा निवासी इंद्रमनिया सोमवार शाम अपने बहू व‌ बेटी के साथ पास के जंगल में जलावन‌ लकड़ी लेने गई थी। जलावन‌ एकत्र करने के दौरान जंगल में एकाएक प्यारे हाथी (दल का नाम) सामने आ गया। इंद्रमनिया को हाथी ने सूंड से उठाकर पटक दिया और कुचल कर मार डाला। उसकी बेटी और बहू ने किसी तरह भाग कर अपनी जान बचाई।

दोनों ने गांव पहुंचकर लोगों को घटना की जानकारी दी। सूचना पर देर रात वन अमला मौके पर पहुंचा। सोमवार को शव बरामद कर पोस्टमार्टम के लिए वन अमले ने प्रतापपुर भिजवाया।

गांव में अब तक 7 की मौत

बीते कुछ सालों में सिंघरा गांव में 7 लोगों की जान हाथियों ने ले ली है, जिसे लेकर ग्रामीण आक्रोशित हैं। प्रतापपुर क्षेत्र के रेंजर टंडन ने बबताया कि मृत महिला के परिजनों को आर्थिक सहायता की राशि 25 हजार रुपये नकद दिया है। वन अमला हाथियों के मूवमेंट पर नजर रख रहा है।

जिले में 39 जानें ले चुका है प्यारे हाथी

जिस प्यारे हाथी ने महिला की जान ली है, वह अब तक 39 जानें ले चुका है। उक्त हाथी को पकड़ने का प्रस्ताव मंत्रालय भेजा गया था, जिसे उच्चाधिकारियों ने खारिज कर दिया है। इसे लेकर वन अमला भी परेशान हैं। वन अमले के अनुसार यह हाथी 1 दिन में लगभग 30 किलोमीटर तक का सफर कर लेता है, जिसके कारण उस पर निगरानी संभव नहीं है।

His daughter and daughter-in-law somehow saved their lives by running away.

Both reached the village and informed the people about the incident. On information, the forest staff reached the spot late in the night. On Monday, the body was recovered and sent to Pratappur by the forest staff for post-mortem.

 So far 7 deaths in the village

In the last few years, 7 people in Singhra village have been killed by elephants, due to which the villagers are angry. Ranger Tandon of Pratappur area told that Rs 25,000 cash has been given to the relatives of the deceased woman. The forest staff is monitoring the movement of elephants.

 Dear elephant has taken 39 lives in the district

The lovely elephant that took the woman’s life has taken 39 lives so far. A proposal to capture the said elephant was sent to the ministry, which has been rejected by the higher officials. Forest staff are also worried about this. According to the forest staff, this elephant travels up to 30 kilometers in a day, due to which monitoring is not possible.
