भारत से कब मिटेगा छुआछूत ? bhaarat se kab mitega chhuaachhoot ?’
देश के महान पूर्वजों ने आजाद भारत में एक ऐसे राष्ट्र की कल्पना की थी, जहां समता- समानता व सबको अधिकार हो, नफरत एवं छुआछूत के लिए कोई जगह ना हो। इसी कल्पना को साकार करने के लिए उन्होंने संविधान की रचना की।
वैसे तो अकसर दावा किया जाता है कि भारत से जाति-भेद, छुआछूत खत्म हो गया है, लेकिन जब दलित माता के हाथों से बना भोजन सवर्ण बच्चे खाना खाने से इनकार कर देते हैं। किसी दलित व्यक्ति को सिर्फ मूँछ रखने के कारण हत्या कर दी जाती है। तो हमारी सामाजिक व्यवस्था की कलई खुल जाती है।
हाल ही में राजस्थान के जालोर में मेधावी दलित छात्र इंद्र कुमार मेघवाल 9 वर्ष को सिर्फ इसलिए मार दिया गया, क्योंकि उसने सवर्ण प्राध्यापक के मटके से पानी पी लिया था। जब पानी पीने का अधिकार के लिए 1927 में डॉक्टर आंबेडकर के महाड़ सत्याग्रह को याद करते हैं तो लगता है कि क्या हम आज भी 1927 वाली स्थिति में ही जी रहे हैं। भारत का दलित बच्चा हिंदू है एवं सवर्ण मास्टर छैल सिंह राजपूत भी हिंदू है। तो दोनों में इतनी नफरत क्यों? इस प्रश्न का समाधान जरूरी है।
दरअसल, जातीय नफरत की शुरुआत जातीय श्रेष्ठता से प्रारंभ होती है। हम भूल जाते हैं कि हम यहां की मिट्टी में पले- बढ़े एवं जन्में सभी एक हैं। सबका यहां के जल, थल, वायु, पहाड़, पत्थर पर एक सा अधिकार है। यह सबको बराबर- बराबर मिलना चाहिए। यह हमारे कर्तव्य एवं अधिकार में शामिल हो, लेकिन ऐसा नहीं हो पाता।
बालक को एक थप्पड़ मार कर मामले को सहज बनाया जा सकता था ….
यदि बालक इंद्र कुमार मेघवाल की घटना पर गौर करें तो थोड़ी देर के लिए मान लिया जाए कि बच्चे ने प्राध्यापक के घड़े से पानी पी लिया है तो उसे एक आध; थप्पड़ जड़कर मामले को सहज बनाया जा सकता था, लेकिन बच्चे की इतनी बेरहमी से पिटाई की गई कि उसकी एक आंख खराब हो गई एवं कान की नस फट गई। इतनी बेरहमी की कल्पना भी नहीं की जा सकती।
राजस्थान के सामाजिक कार्यकर्ता एवं लेखक भंवर मेघवंशी बताते हैं कि प्राध्यापक ने इस मामले को निबटाने के लिए डेढ़ लाख रुपए पीड़ित परिवार को दिया था। आखिरकार अस्पताल में 22 दिन जीवन और मृत्यु के बीच संघर्ष से जूझ रहे दलित छात्र इंद्र कुमार मेघवाल की इलाज मौत हो गई।
पहले तो इसे दबाने की कोशिश की गई, लेकिन जब सोशल मीडिया में मामला वायरल हो गया। तब मुख्य मीडिया (मीडिया हाऊस) ने इसे उठाया। कई जगह घटना पर भ्रम पैदा करने की भी कोशिश की गई। जैसा कि अन्य दलित उत्पीड़न के मामलों में होता आया है।
विदेशों में यही संभ्रांत वर्ग नस्लीय भेदभाव ना बरतने की मांग करता है लेकिन भारत में वह स्वयं बरतता है।
चाहे अभिनेत्री शिल्पा शेट्टी का मामला हो या अन्य संभ्रांत जातियों का जो विदेशों में रह रहे हैं। जब उनके साथ वहां भेदभाव होता है, तो वे दीन- हीन हो जाते हैं और वहां की सरकार से गुहार लगाते हैं कि हमें नीच समझ कर या भारतीय होने के कारण हमसे भेदभाव किया जा रहा है। ऐसा ना करें।
हाल ही में ब्रिटेन के प्रधानमंत्री पद के सशक्त दावेदार ऋषि सुनक ने ब्रिटेन के निवासियों से गुहार लगाई थी कि उनके साथ भारतीय होने के कारण भेदभाव किया जा रहा है। वह ऐसा ना करें और लोग उन्हें वोट देकर जिताएं। इसके पहले भी वह कॉलेज के दौरान ब्रिटेन में अपने साथ होने वाले भेदभाव का जिक्र करते रहे हैं।
यही संभ्रांत वर्ग जब भारत में होता है तो अपने से छोटी या नीची समझी जाने वाली जाति के साथ भेदभाव करता है। आखिर ऐसा कब तक चलेगा ? हमें इन दोहरी नीतियों से बाहर आना होगा। हर प्रकार के भेदभाव से खुद को निजात दिलाना होगा। और उससे ज्यादा महत्वपूर्ण है इस भेदभाव से दूसरे को निजात देना। इसके लिए बड़ी समझ और बड़ा दिल की जरूरत है।

The Dalit child of India is a Hindu and the upper caste master, Khail Singh Rajput, is also a Hindu. So why so much hatred between the two? It is necessary to address this question.
In fact, racial hatred begins with racial superiority. We forget that we grew up in this soil and were born all one. Everyone has the same right over the water, land, air, mountain, stone here. Everyone should get it equally. It should be included in our duty and right, but it does not happen.
The matter could have been made easier by slapping the child.

In foreign countries, this elite class demands not to practice racial discrimination, but in India, it does itself.
Be it the case of actress Shilpa Shetty or other elite castes who are living abroad. When they are discriminated against there, they become humbled and plead with the government there that we are being discriminated against by considering us low or being Indian. Don’t do that.
Recently, Rishi Sunak, a strong contender for the post of Prime Minister of Britain, had appealed to the residents of Britain that they were being discriminated against for being an Indian. Don’t do this and people vote for them and make them win. Even before this, he has been referring to the discrimination he faced in the UK during college.
When this elite class is in India, it discriminates against the caste which is considered smaller or lower than itself. How long will this last? We have to come out of these dual policies. You have to rid yourself of all kinds of discrimination. And more important than that it is to rid the other of this discrimination. It requires a lot of understanding and a big heart.
