What is the meaning of an unbroken brother-sister relationship?

The brother-sister relationship is the highest of all relationships in the world. No matter why brothers and sisters are true friends of the world and guides of each other. When the sister gets married and goes to the in-laws’ house and the brother leaves home for a job and goes to another city, then he realizes how precious this best relationship between brother and sister is. There is no word for how much a soldier standing on the border remembers his sister and what is the condition of the sisters at such times. These sacred bonds, tied with colorful threads, are deeply associated with our culture for centuries ago. This festival is the bond of that priceless love, the bond of feelings which makes the brother promise to protect not only his sister but every girl in the world. The festival associated with the bond of mutual affinity, affection, and duty of brother and sister, flows new energy and strength into the brother-sister relationship. Sisters are eager to tie Rakhi on their brother’s wrist with great enthusiasm on this day. While this festival shows the brother’s affection for the sister, it also makes the brother aware of his duties.

Rakshabandhan is the festival of brother-sister relationships, Raksha means protection and Bandhan means bound. On the day of Rakshabandhan, sisters pray to God for the progress of their brothers. Rakhi is usually tied by sisters only to brothers but respected relatives (like a daughter by a father) are also tied by Brahmins, gurus, and younger girls in the family. This festival is associated with protection from the festival, which commits to protect anyone. If a promise is taken to protect every girl in the world along with her sister on this holy day, then the purpose of this festival will be fulfilled in the true sense. This holy festival has its golden history, but with the changing times, it has undergone many changes like other relationships. As modernity is taking over our values and relationships. As a result of the decline in culture, the strength and love in relationships have been replaced by appearances. In today’s changing times, modernity has started dominating this festival as well, since then this tradition is going on till today, but somewhere we are losing our values.

In the colorful threads, now the feeling of belonging and the warmth of love have started decreasing. At one time, the kind of principles and sentiments were about Rakhi, perhaps now they have started getting termites in the name of rupees, as a result, money has started taking the place of love in relationships. In such a situation, there is a great need today to save the culture and values and respect the Rakhi tied with obligations. Because this precious relation of Rakhi is not just a tradition of raw threads. There is no value of love in the tradition of transaction. Rather, where there is a tradition of transactions, love cannot survive, how can unbreakable relationships be formed? The story of Krishna and Draupadi is famous in history, in which Shri Krishna’s finger was injured during the war, Draupadi tied a piece of her sari to the injured finger of Shri Krishna, and in return for this favor, Shri Krishna gave Draupadi He had promised to help Draupadi in any crisis. The stories of Raksha Bandhan tell that whenever the shadow of the sister trapped amid dangers used to call her brother, even after fighting with every power of the world, the brother used to run to protect her and respected her Rakhi.

It is said that Rani Karmavati of Mewar received prior information about Bahadur Shah’s attack on Mewar. The queen was unable to fight, so she sent Rakhi to the Mughal emperor Humayun and pleaded for protection. Humayun, despite being a Muslim, kept the shame of Rakhi and reached Mewar and fought against Bahadur Shah on behalf of Mewar, and protected Karmavati and his kingdom. When Krishna killed Shishupala with the Sudarshan Chakra, his index finger got hurt. At that time Draupadi tore her sari and tied a bandage on her finger. It was the full moon day of Shravan month. Krishna later repaid this favor by increasing his sari at the time of chirharan. It is said that the spirit of mutual protection and cooperation started here during the festival of Rakshabandhan. Today once again the sister is challenging the boundaries of brotherhood because every stage of her age is insecure, her honor and identity are being eroded again and again.

Despite having more intellectual talent than boys, he is denied higher education, because after all, he has to take care of the house. He is kept unaware of the new civilization and the new culture so that he does not rebel against Indian ideals and principles. In these adverse circumstances, his ability, authority, contemplation, and every dream of life keep on swearing. That is why I believe that on this holy festival of Rakhi, there is an important need for brothers to sincerely take an oath to protect and respect not only their sister but the entire women’s world. Only then this holy festival of Rakhi will become meaningful and the love of brother and sister will remain eternal on earth. This festival is so widely and deeply entrenched in Indian society that not only does it have social significance, but religion, mythology, history, literature, and films are also not untouched by it. Rakshabandhan festival has been a cultural measure of social and family unity or solidarity.

But now that silver and gold rakhis were replaced by colorful threads immersed in love, then instead of understanding the duties in social behavior, it came to fulfill the custom. Appearance replaced love and goodwill. That’s why as soon as everyone wakes up in the morning on the day of Raksha Bandhan, there are a lot of pictures and videos of Rakshabandhan on everyone’s status, now instead of sisters, the e-commerce site takes online orders and delivers Rakhi to the given address. If instead of showing off on social media these relationships are irrigated with the water of love in real life, then there will always be strong in the family. The meaning of the festival of Rakhi is not only to protect the sister from others, but the brother also must protect her rights and dreams, but can the sister be protected in the true sense? In today’s time, it has become very necessary to protect the obligations of Rakhi.

On the day of Rakhi, one should not only take a pledge to protect one’s sister but should take a pledge to protect the honor and rights of the entire women’s world so that the obligations of Rakhi can be discharged in the right way. On the occasion of Rakshabandhan, we should also take a pledge to protect our country and religion.
