बिलासपुर | [छत्तीसगढ़ बुलेटिन] | संभाग के गौरेला-पेंड्रा-मरवाही जिले में हाथियों ने दस्तक दी है। मध्य प्रदेश के अनूपपुर होते हुए छत्तीसगढ़ पहुंचे हाथियों ने मरवाही वन परिक्षेत्र के सिवनी मालाडांड़ में आतंक मचाया है। हाथियों के दल ने 2 मनरेगा मजदूरों पर हमला कर दिया, जिससे 1 मजदूर की मौत हो गई, जबकि दूसरा गभीर रूप से घायल है। घायल को अस्पताल में भर्ती कराया गया है। वन विभाग के कर्मियों को हाथियों की निगरानी में लगाया गया है। हाथियों की मौजूदगी वाले इलाके से ग्रामीणों नहीं जाने मुनादी कराई गई है।
मिली जानकारी अनुसार मरवाही वन परिक्षेत्र के मालाडांड़ के सिवनी वन क्षेत्र में 3 दंतैल के आने की सूचना है। हाथी संभवत: रात को क्षेत्र में पहुंचे हैं। हाथियों के आने की कोई सूचना वन विभाग को नहीं थी।
बताया जाता है कि महात्मा गांधी राष्ट्रीय रोजगार गारंटी योजना के तहत मजदूर तालाब गहरीकरण का काम खत्म करके लौट रहे थे, तभी 2 मजदूर बदीराम और सहदेव पनिका का सामना हाथियों से हो गया।
हाथी ने दोनों ग्रामीणों पर हमला कर दिया, जिससे बदीराम और सहदेव को गंभीर चोट आई। दोनों को मरवाही स्वास्थ्य केंद्र में भर्ती कराया गया, जहां बदीराम की मौत हो गई।
शोर के बाद हिंसक हुआ हाथी
हाथी को अचानक देखने के बाद ग्रामीणों ने शोर मचा दिया, जिससे वे आक्रमक हो गए। हाथी ने मजदूरों पर हमला करने दौड़ा दिया। मजदूरों की आवाज सुनकर दूसरे लोग वहां पहुंचे, तब तक हाथियों ने दोनों मजदूरों को गंभीर रूप से घायल कर दिया। ग्रामीणों द्वारा किसी तरह हाथियों को खदेड़ा गया, जिसके बाद घायलों को 112 की मदद से अस्पताल लाया गया।
दोनों को मरवाही प्राथमिक स्वास्थ्य केंद्र में उपचार के बाद गौरेला स्थित जिला अस्पताल पहुंचाया गया, जहां जांच के बाद डॉक्टरों ने बदीराम को मृत घोषित कर दिया। वहीं सहदेव का इलाज चल रहा है। इधर वन विभाग के कर्मचारियों को हाथियों की निगरानी के लिए तैनात किया गया है।
Elephants attacked 2 laborers returning from the pond, one died

According to the information received, there is information about the arrival of 3 Dantails in the Seoni forest area of Maladand of Marwahi forest range. The elephants probably reached the area at night. There was no information about the arrival of elephants to the forest department.
It is said that under the Mahatma Gandhi National Employment Guarantee Scheme, the laborers were returning after finishing the work of deepening the pond, when two laborers Badiram and Sahdev Panika encountered elephants.
The elephant attacked both the villagers, causing serious injuries to Badiram and Sahdev. Both were admitted to Marwahi Health Center, where Badiram died.
Elephant turned violent after noise
After seeing the elephant suddenly, the villagers made a noise, due to which they became aggressive. The elephant ran to attack the workers. Hearing the voices of the workers, other people reached there, till then the elephants seriously injured both the workers. The elephants were somehow driven away by the villagers, after which the injured were brought to the hospital with the help of 112.
Both were rushed to the district hospital at Gorela after treatment at the Marwahi Primary Health Center, where after examination, the doctors declared Badiram dead. Sahdev’s treatment is going on there. Here the employees of the Forest Department have been deployed to monitor the elephants.
