What was Babasaheb’s dream project?

Baba Saheb had many dreams to establish an egalitarian society without discrimination, but he had two dreams which are called his dream project.

(1) Caste abolition
(2) representation to all

1 Caste Abolition –

Deprived society wants caste abolition. Abolition of caste means that all castes are equal, without discrimination, the establishment of a casteless society.

There was no invention in our country from needle to airplane. It was not needed. Because we had castes to do all that work. Washing machine was not made for washing clothes because there is a washerman. A machine was not made to clean the gutters, because Bhangis are caste. The machine was not made to extract oil because Teli is a caste. Every caste here takes pride in its caste. This is the most disgusting aspect of this caste aspect and these castes hate each other. Which is a big obstacle for patriotism. Upper castes discriminate against lower castes. Similar discrimination exists between Brahmins, Kshatriyas, Vaishyas and Shudras. And it is in between. There is a difference even among brahmin brahmins. There are differences between Kshatriya Kshatriya also, high and low. In the same way, there is a difference between Dalits, high and low. Babasaheb Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar wanted to end this caste system.

It is the responsibility of the Ambedkar litigants of the country to take steps for the eradication of caste. It often happens that the Dalit society hopes to eradicate caste from the upper castes. He wants the upper caste society to have matrimonial relations with him, but he is not ready at all to eradicate caste from the lower castes of his Dalit society.

You can understand this with an example “There were two friends, one from Chamar society, one from the Mehtar society. Both were Ambedkarites, later both became Buddhist. There was a friendship of 20 years old. Used to work on good positions in the same department. But when it came to marriage in both the families, then the Buddhist of Chamar caste refused, saying that we do not want to have a relationship with the sweeper.

Whether it is Buddhist.” This is the true incident of Meerut in Uttar Pradesh. That is, the forward caste of Dalits is not ready to eradicate caste along with the backward caste. If Ambedkarites want to eradicate caste along with the upper castes in the country, first among themselves Caste has to be abolished, only then Baba Saheb’s dream can be fulfilled.

2 Representation to all –

Just as the Supreme Court of India is occupied by a particular caste in the High Court. Mostly Brahmins are made judges. Because the Representation Act (Reservation) in Supreme Court is not applicable. Through the collegium system, people belonging to a particular caste or family are repeatedly elected as judges. The result is that these judges repeatedly give judgments against reservation, women, atrocity etc. and take decisions discriminated against by the marginalized castes.

Similarly, sc.st.obc, a native, a Buddhist or a program to be formed in the name of Ambedkar Jayanti, is captured by the upper castes among the Dalits. The people of the small caste are limited to giving donations, raising the crowd, laying the rugs. Even in the upper caste Dalit stage, the small sanitation workers are not ready to give representation to the castes nor are they ready to lead those organizations.  From this you can get an idea of how discriminated against minorities and minorities especially the Safai Karamgar castes must have been. Are these people who are fighting the fight for representation, with the upper castes? Are they ready to give that right to the minorities of Dalit castes smaller than themselves? Obviously, like the judge of the Supreme Court, there must be partiality. On these grounds, you can get an idea of the reservation status in the job.

On the occasion of Ambedkar Jayanti, it is necessary to remember these dream projects of his. The last person to whom he wanted to represent got representation or did not get it? This is a big question. Was caste abolition done with them or not? This is a big question. Today it is our responsibility to make an important contribution in fulfilling his dream project.

Jai Bheem
