कथित तौर पर इस भेदभाव वाले व्यवहार को देखने के बाद सोशल मीडिया पर लोग गुस्सा जताने लगे हैं। लोग मांग करने लगे कि पंडित धीरेंद्र कृष्ण शास्त्री पर एफआईआर होनी चाहिए। यहां तक कि ट्विटर पर #ArrestDhirendraShastri ट्रेंड होने लगा था।

इस वीडियो को ट्वीट करते हुए एक यूजर ने लिखा, ब्राह्मण पुजारी और कथा वााचक पंडित धीरेंद्र कृष्ण शास्त्री सार्वजनिक रूप से भेदभाव करते हैं। वो खुलकर कह रहे हैं कि छुओ नहीं, अछूत हो। क्या इस जातिवादी शख्स के खिलाफ पुलिस केस दर्ज करेगी?
हिंदू धर्म उपदेशक धीरेंद्र कृष्ण शास्त्री इससे पहले भी वह अपने बयान के चलते विवाद में घिर चुके हैं। उन्होंने एक बार मंच से कहा था, सभी एक हो जाओ और पत्थर फेंकने वालों के घर पर बुलडोजर चलवा दो। कुछ दिन में हम भी बुलडोजर खरीदने वाले हैं और राम के काज पर, सनातनी महात्माओं संतों और भारतीय सनातनी हिंदुओं पर जो पत्थर चलाएगा उसके घर पर बुलडोजर चलेगा।
आगे उन्होंने कहा था, सरकार आखिर कब तक बुलडोजर से घर गिराएगी अब हिंदुओं को गिराना पड़ेगा।
