परिचय– नैनीताल, उत्तराखंड.

आदमी को मैंने देखा है,

समस्या पर अक्सर रोते,

वो कभी समस्या के,

समाधान पर, काम नहीं करता,

बल्कि मैंने देखा है उसे,

खुद एक समस्या बनते।

वो चिन्ता करता है,

देश में उत्पन्न तमाम समस्याओं पर,

समाज की चिन्ता करते,

बेरोजगारी की समस्या से परेशान होते,

युक्रेन और रूस के,

युद्ध से ऐसे परेशान होते,

मानो युद्ध उसके ही,

घर में हो रहा हो!

महंगाई की समस्या से,

ग्रसित हो रोते,

और सबसे बड़ी बात,

ये सारी समस्याओं का समाधान,

भी उसे मिल जाता है,

बस अपनी पलंग पर लेटे-लेटे,

मैंने उसको अधिकारों के,

लड़ते हुए तो देखा है;

पर जब उससे दायित्वों,

की बात कि तो उसे देखा बगले झाँकते।

मैं तो सोचता हूँ कि,

उस बेचारे को ही देश का,

दायित्व दे दिया जाए,

क्या पता वो सारी समस्याओं को,

को चुटकियों में सुलझा जाए।

और मैं जब ये सोचकर,

उस के घर गया,

तो मैंने उसको देखा,

अपनी घरवाली के साथ,

समस्या से दो-दो हाथ करते,

और समस्याओं के आगे घुटने टेकते।

मैं समझ गया कि,

जो अपना घर नहीं,

सँभाल सकता लो भला,

देश का क्या सँभालेगा,

मैंने सोच लिया कि,

इसको, इसके हाल पर,

छोड़ा जाए और ,

वापस घर चला जाए।
