नई दिल्ली | [कोर्ट बुलेटिन] | काली पोस्टर विवाद Kaali Poster Controversy मामले में दिल्ली की एक अदालत ने सोमवार को फिल्म निर्माता लीना मणिमेकलाई और अन्य को समन जारी कर 6 अगस्त 2022 को पेश होने के लिए कहा है। याचिकाकर्ता ने प्रतिवादियों को पोस्टर और वीडियो और विवादित ट्वीट में देवी काली को चित्रित करने से अस्थायी रूप से रोकने के लिए अंतरिम निषेधाज्ञा की मांग की है।
कनाडा के टोरंटो में रहने वाली फिल्मकार लीना मणिमेकलाई ने बीते दिनों ट्विटर पर अपनी शॉर्टम फिल्म ‘काली’ का पोस्टर शेयर किया था, जिसमें हिंदू देवी को धूम्रपान करते और हाथ में एलजीबीटीक्यू समुदाय का झंडा थामे हुए दिखाया गया है।
फिल्म का पोस्टर रिलीज करने के बाद लीना को लोगों की धार्मिक भावनाओं को ठेस पहुंचाने के लिए चौतरफा निंदा का सामना करना पड़ रहा है। लोगों ने उनकी गिरफ्तारी की मांग की है।
दिल्ली पुलिस ने दर्ज की थी एफआईआर
दिल्ली पुलिस ने फिल्मकार लीना मणिमेकलाई के खिलाफ 5 जुलाई 2022 को उनकी फिल्म ‘काली’ के विवादास्पद पोस्टर के संबंध में एक मामला दर्ज किया था। लीना के खिलाफ एक वकील ने दिल्ली पुलिस के समक्ष दर्ज कराई गई शिकायत में आरोप लगाया था कि सोशल मीडिया पर एक पोस्टर का प्रचार हो रहा है जिसमें ‘देवी काली’ को सिगरेट पीते हुए दिखाया गया है।
दिल्ली पुलिस की स्पेशल सेल की आईएफएसओ (इंटेलिजेंस फ्यूजन एंड स्ट्रेटेजिक ऑपरेशन) यूनिट ने शिकायत और सोशल मीडिया पोस्ट की सामग्री के आधार पर प्रथम दृष्टया भारतीय दंड संहिता (आईपीसी) की धाराओं 153ए (धार्मिक, नस्ल आदि के आधार पर दो समूहों में द्वेष को बढ़ावा देना) और धारा 295ए (जानबूझकर धर्म या उसकी मान्यताओं का अपमान कर धार्मिक भावना भड़काना) के तहत एफआईआर दर्ज की है।
वहीं, विवाद बढ़ने के बाद सोशल मीडिया प्लैटफॉर्म ट्विटर ने फिल्मकार लीना मणिमेकलाई के उस ट्वीट को हटा दिया था जिसमें उन्होंने फिल्म ‘काली’ का पोस्टर लगाया था।
Kali poster controversy: Court summons Leena Manimekalai and others
New Delhi | [Court Bulletin] | A Delhi court on Monday issued summons to filmmaker Leena Manimekalai and others in the Kaali poster controversy case, asking them to appear on August 6, 2022. The petitioner has sought interim injunction to temporarily restrain the respondents from depicting Goddess Kali in the posters and videos and in the controversial tweets.
Toronto-based filmmaker Leena Manimekalai recently took to Twitter to share the poster of her short film “Kaali”, in which the Hindu goddess is shown smoking and holding a flag of the LGBTQ community in her hand.
After releasing the poster of the film, Leena is facing all-round condemnation for hurting the religious sentiments of the people. People have demanded his arrest.
Delhi Police had registered FIR
The Delhi Police had registered a case against filmmaker Leena Manimekalai in connection with the controversial poster of her film ‘Kaali’ on 5 July 2022. In the complaint lodged with the Delhi Police, a lawyer against Leena had alleged that a poster was being circulated on social media showing ‘Goddess Kali’ smoking a cigarette.
The IFSO (Intelligence Fusion and Strategic Operation) unit of Delhi Police’s Special Cell has prima facie tried to discriminate between two groups on grounds of religion, race etc. An FIR has been registered under section 295A (deliberately provoking religious feelings by insulting religion or its beliefs).
At the same time, after the controversy escalated, social media platform Twitter removed the tweet of filmmaker Leena Manimekalai in which she had put up the poster of the film ‘Kaali’.
