परिचय– मुंबई, महाराष्ट्र.

कड़ी धूप से रोज लड़ता है दरख्त,

रंग-बिरंगे परिन्दे पालता है दरख्त।

आते –जाते राहगीर मिटाते थकन,

जीने का हुनर सिखाता है दरख्त।

महकी-महकी हवाएँ उठती हैं वृक्ष से,

धरती पे मेघों को बुलाता है दरख्त।

इसकी आँखों में देखो बसता समन्दर,

हमारा घर- गृहस्थी सजाता है दरख्त।

बदन पे पत्थर खाकर बहाता नहीं आँसू,

जख्म नहीं किसी को दिखाता है दरख्त।

दरख्त पर आरियाँ कोई न चलाओ,

प्रदूषण पर बाण चलाता है दरख्त।

झुलसती जमीं कुछ कह रही है सभी से,

मूक प्राणियों की रक्षा करता है दरख्त।

दरख्त की वजह से जिन्दी हैं नदिया,

ख्वाहिशें सबकी जिन्दा रखता है दरख्त।

नर्म घनेरी डालों पर लोग डालते झूला,

माँ- बाप के सरीखे होता है दरख्त।

मत उड़ाओ नींद अब दरख्तों की कोई,

हरीभरी वसुंधरा रखता है दरख्त।

Tree !

The tree fights daily with the harsh sun,
The tree feeds on colorful birds.
Tired of erasing passers-by,
The tree teaches the skill of living.

Sweet-smelling winds rise from the tree,
Trees call the clouds on the earth.
Look in the eyes of the sea,
Our house is decorated with trees.

Tears do not shed after eating stones on the body,
The tree does not show the wound to anyone.
No one should run saws on the tree,
Tree shoots arrows at pollution.

The scorching ground is saying something to everyone,
The tree protects the silent creatures.
Rivers are alive because of trees,
The tree keeps everyone’s wishes alive.

People put swings on the soft dense branches,
A tree is like a parent.
Don’t sleep, now no one of the trees,
The tree keeps greenery.

सितारे ऊँचाई पे अपने आप नहीं रहते sitaare oonchaee pe apane aap nahin rahate
