आज प्रात: (25 जुलाई 2022) जब द्रौपदी मुर्मू राजघाअ पर राष्ट्रपिता की समाधि पर माथा टेकने गयीं थीं तो उनके दिल में कैसे बुलबुले उभर रहे होंगे? नरेन्द्र मोदी की भांति आजाद भारत में जन्मी इस जनजाति नारी ने इसे अपने शपथ ग्रहण समारोह पर राष्ट्र के नाम संबोधन में वाणी दी। उनके शब्द थे : ”यह भारत के गरीबों की उपलब्धि है।” वह बात जो 77 साल पूर्व राष्ट्रपिता ने बताया थी। अत्योदयवाली।
मगर उनके निष्ठावान अनुयायियों ने सत्तासीन होते ही विसरा दी। मगर इस पन्द्रहवीं राष्ट्रपति ने अपनी इच्छा शक्ति जता दी। संकल्प जाहिर कर दिया। कुनबापरस्ती से ग्रसित भारत में वे स्वजनों से दूर रहेंगी। सभागार में अगली सोचें पर सोनिया गांधी विराजमान थीं।
संदर्भ है कि राजधानी की मीडिया में चर्चित खबर रही कि उनका परिधान कैसा होगा? कल उनके भ्राता तरणीसेन टूडू ने मीडिया को बता दिया था कि द्रौपदी मूर्मू नीले बार्डरवाली सफेद साड़ी पर पक्षी, फूल, पत्ते आदि चित्रित रहने वाली, धारण करेंगी।
द्रौपदी मुर्मू साड़ी बिना छाप—छपाई वाली धोती पहनेंगी। मगर अपने आत्मीयजनों से नये राष्ट्रपति का नातावास्ता ज्यादा दृढ हुआ है। चौंसठ वर्षीय द्रौपदी मुर्मू ने अपने जन्मस्थल रायरंगपुर से 54 अतिथियों को विशेष आमंत्रित किया। उनके गांव उपड़ाखेड़ा में इन्हीं स्वजनों ने दैत्याकार टीवी लगाकर राष्ट्रपति भवन में विशाल दरबार हाल से सजीव प्रदर्शन कराया। दिन भर तक भण्डारा होता रहा।
एक विशेष दृश्य यह था कि द्रौपदी मुर्मू ब्रहमकुमारी संगठन से वर्षों से संबंधित हैं। जब से उनके पति तथा दो दो पुत्रों का निधन हुआ, द्रौपदी मुर्मू ने राजयोग को विशेषतौर अभ्यास किया। शपथग्रहण के अवसर पर मीडिया संयोजक ब्रहमकुमारी नथमलजी तथा ब्रहमकुमारी आशाबहन शामिल हुयी थीं। दो बेटे और पति को खोने के बाद द्रौपदी मुर्मू अब डेढ सौ करोड़ की मां बनेंगी, अपनी एक बेटी को मिलाकर।
जो महिला केवल चाकू से तस्करी काटती रही अब इक्कीस तोपों की सलामी मिली। वह महिला जो गांधीवादी अहिंसावादी, शांतिप्रिय रही, अब तीनों सैन्यबलों (थल, जल, नभ) की सर्वोच्च कमांडर बन गयीं। मगर उनकी आस्था वही ”ओम शान्ति” में है। यह सूत्र उन्होंने पारिवारिक दुर्घटनाओं के बाद ब्रह्मकुमारी चिन्तन से पाया। अपने राजयोग अभ्यास तथा चिंतन केन्द्र घर पर ही निर्मित किया था।
अभतक जल, जंगल और जमीन से जुड़ी द्रौपदी मुर्मू अब अपने नये 350—कमरे वाले 330 एकड़ चूकि पर निर्मित 90—वर्ष पुराने राष्ट्रपति भवन की ज्यामिति ही बदल डालेंगी। क्रूर लार्ड एडबर्ड इर्विन (1931) से ऐय्याश लुई माउन्टबेटन (1947) तक के इस भवन को द्रौपदी अब सात्विक बनायेगी।
याद रहे भारत का हिंसक विभाजन कर इसी माउंटबेटन और पत्नी एडविन ने लाखों को मौत दिलवाया था। प्रारब्ध था कि आयरलैण्ड के स्वाधीनता ने 79—वर्षीय माउन्टबेटन की नौका में बम लगाकर उसकी (27 अप्रैल 1979) इहलीला समाप्त कर दी थी।
द्रौपदी मुर्मू की तत्कालिक चुनौती होगी कि अवैध खनन के कारण आदिवासी जन को जो विपदा से जूझना पड़ रहा है उसका निवारण कैसे हो ? वनधन विभाग तथा अन्य केन्द्रों को क्रियाशील बनाने का लक्ष्य हासिल करना होगा।
द्रौपदी मुर्मू के चुनावी प्रतिभागिता से दो पहलू उजागर हुये है। ऐतिहासिक परिवेश में उनकी भी समीक्षा होनी चाहिये। पहली है उनकी समता प्रथम महिला राष्ट्रपति श्रीमती प्रतिभा देवीसिंह पाटिल से की जाती है। वे प्रथम महिला राष्ट्रपति रहीं (25 जुलाई 2007 से 2012) तक।
वस्तुत: यह दोनों महिलायें हर दृष्टि से असमान रहीं। प्रतिभा पाटिल पेशेवर राजनेता रही। फैनन और आकर्षण में कॉलेज ”कबीना” (1962) रह चुकी प्रतिभा वकील थी, सोनिया गांधी की निकट रहीं। उनके प्रतिद्वंदी रहे उपराष्ट्रपति भैरोसिंह शेखावत। प्रतिभा पाटिल चीनी मिल कर्ज घोटाला, भूमि घपला, इंजीनियरिंग कॉलेज फण्ड में गड़बड़ी इत्यादि में उनकी संलिप्तता पायी गयी थी। द्रौपदी मुर्मू ऐसा किसी में काण्ड से कोसो दूर रहीं।
द्रौपदी मुर्मू पर उनके जनजाति महिला होने पर राजनीतिक दक्षता और प्रशासनिक क्षमता पर गेरभाजपायी राजनेताओं ने लांछन लगाये थे। यह स्तरहीन रहे और भद्दे तथा अतार्किक रहे। मसलन प्रतिद्वंदी यशवंत सिन्हा ने कहा था कि द्रौपदीबहन मात्र रबड़ स्टाम्प रहेंगी। यह बहुत बेतुका, भद्दा और आधारहीन आरोप है।
यशवंत सिन्हा आईएएस नौकरशाह रहे। जनान्दोलन से कभी भी जुड़े नहीं रहे। इस 85—वर्षीय यशवंत सिन्हा को भलीभांति याद होगा कि इंदिरा गांधी के राजकाल में कौन राष्ट्रपति कठपुतली नहीं था ! याद कीजिये कीव (यूक्रेन) के गुसलखाने में तेल मालिश कराने राष्ट्रपति वीवी गिरी ने दिल्ली पांच हजार किलोमीटर नहाते यह निर्णय ले लिया था कि लखनऊ में संयुक्त विधायक नारायण सिंह की सरकार को बर्खास्त कर दिया जाये।
सर्वथा फख्रुद्दीन अली अहमद ने आधी रात को उनीन्दा स्थिति में इंदिरा गांधी के आदेश पर हस्ताक्षर कर दिये थे कि एमर्जेंसी थोप दिया जाये। और सत्रह माह तानाशाही लाद दी गयी। सरदार जैल सिंह जी केवल दर्जा चार तक शिखित रहे ने मशहूर बात कहीं थी : ”यदि प्रधानमंत्री इंदिरा गांधी कहेंगी तो मैं राष्ट्रपति भवन में झाड़ू लगा दूंगा।”
बाद में यही जैल सिंह अवैधानिक तरीके से राजीव गांधी की सरकार को बर्खास्त करने वाले थे। सद्बुद्धि आ गयी और राष्ट्र को संकट में धकेलने के गुनाह से बच गये।
फिलहाल अब राष्ट्रपति भवन में नया दौर, नया युग प्रारम्भ हुआ हे। द्रौपदी मुर्मू की पारी की इतिहास को प्रतीक्षा रहेगी।
Why would Draupadi Murmu be amazing?

This morning (25 July 2022) when Draupadi Murmu went to pay obeisance at the father of the nation samadhi at Raj Ghat, how bubbles must have been rising in her heart? Like Narendra Modi, this tribal woman born in independent India gave this speech in her address to the nation at her swearing-in ceremony. His words were: “This is the achievement of the poor of India.” The same thing that the Father of the Nation had said 77 years ago. Atyodawali.
But his loyal followers gave viscera as soon as he came to power. But this fifteenth President expressed his will power. Resolve expressed. In India suffering from paganism, they will stay away from their relatives. Next thought in the auditorium was sitting Sonia Gandhi.
It is a reference that there was a news discussed in the media of the capital that how would her dress be? Yesterday, her brother Tarnisen Tudu had told the media that Draupadi Murmu would wear a white sari with blue borders, depicting birds, flowers, leaves etc.
Draupadi will wear a Murmu sari without a printed dhoti. But the relationship of the new President with his relatives has become more firm. Sixty-four year old Draupadi Murmu made a special invitation to 54 guests from her birthplace Rairangpur. In their village Upadakheda, these same relatives put up a giant TV and made a live performance from the huge Durbar Hall in Rashtrapati Bhavan. The storage continued for the whole day.
One particular view was that Draupadi has been related to the Murmu Brahmakumari organization for years. Ever since the death of her husband and two sons, Draupadi Murmu practiced Raja Yoga exclusively. Media coordinators Brahma Kumari Nathmalji and Brahma Kumari Ashabehn attended the swearing-in ceremony. After losing two sons and husband, Draupadi Murmu will now become a mother of 150 crores, including one of her daughters.
The woman who kept cutting smuggling only with a knife, now got a salute of twenty one guns. The woman who had been a Gandhian non-violent, peace-loving, now became the supreme commander of the three armed forces (land, water, air). But his faith is in the same “Om Shanti”. He got this sutra from Brahma Kumaris contemplation after family mishaps. He had built his Raja Yoga practice and contemplation center at home itself.
Still attached to water, forest and land, Draupadi Murmu will now change the geometry of the 90-year-old Rashtrapati Bhavan, built on 330 acres of its new 350-room building. Draupadi will now make this building sattvik, from the cruel Lord Edward Irwin (1931) to the debauched Louis Mountbatten (1947).
Remember, this Mountbatten and wife Edwin had got millions killed by the violent partition of India. It was destiny that the independence of Ireland ended his (27 April 1979) affair by planting a bomb in the yacht of the 79-year-old Mountbatten.
Draupadi Murmu’s immediate challenge will be how to get rid of the calamity the tribal people are facing due to illegal mining? The target of making the Van Dhan Department and other centers functional will have to be achieved.
Two aspects have come to light from Draupadi Murmu’s electoral participation. They should also be reviewed in the historical context. The first is that she is equated with the first woman President, Smt. Pratibha Devisingh Patil. She was the first female President (25 July 2007 to 2012).
In fact, these two women were unequal in every respect. Pratibha Patil was a professional politician. Fanon and Charm were in college “Kabina” (1962) Pratibha, a lawyer, was close to Sonia Gandhi. His rival was Vice President Bhairon Singh Shekhawat. His involvement was found in Pratibha Patil sugar mill loan scam, land scam, engineering college fund malpractices etc. Draupadi Murmu stayed far away from the scandal in such a case.
Draupadi Murmu was stigmatized by non-BJP politicians on her political efficiency and administrative ability for being a tribal woman. It should be level and crude and illogical. For example, the rival Yashwant Sinha had said that Draupadi Behen would remain a mere rubber stamp. This is a very absurd, baseless and baseless allegation.
