बहना भैया से बोली की,
सीमा से तुम कब आओगे।
बाट निहारु खड़ी मैं तेरी,
राखी मुझसे बंधाओगे।
लिए तिरंगा हाथ खड़ी हूं,
रोली व चंदन थाल सजा।
मेरी व्यथा को तुम समझो,
जल्दी से अब आ जाओ ना।
मैया बाबू राह निहारे,
जाने कब से हैं खड़े यहां।
भाभी भीतर पीछे बैठी,
आस लगाती हैं रोज यहां।
मुनिया गुड्डू रह रह रोते,
फरियाद यही बस करते हैं।
ले तिरंगा हाथ में अपने,
हम बच्चे तुम्हें बुलाते हैं।

Bahna said to brother,
When will you come from the border?
I stand waiting for you,
Will you tie rakhi to me?
I stand for the tricolor hand,
Roli and sandalwood plate decorated.
You understand my pain
Come quickly now, don’t you?
Maya babu look at the path,
How long have you been standing here?
Sister-in-law sat back inside,
Hope here everyday.
Muniya Guddu keeps crying and crying,
That’s what the complainants do.
Take the tricolor in your hand,
We children call you.
