आईना देखना है पसन्द सबको,

कोई आईना दिखाए तो पसन्द नहीं आता।

ख़ुद को जो देखना चाहते वो देख लेते,

कोई सच्चाई बताए तो हज़म नहीं हो पाता।

खुबसूरत ही सब दिखना चाहते,

ज़मीर को सब मिलकर भूल जाते,

गर्द साफ़ करते अक्सर आईने से,

चेहरे के निशान पे मरहम लगाते।

जिस दिन आईना ज़मीर दिखायेगा,

एक घर में भी आईना नज़र न आएगा,

क़ीमत हो कितनी भी इसे ज़माने में,

अपने हाथों से इंसान इसे तोड़ जाएगा।

दिल के आईने में झाँक कर नहीं देखता कोई,

अक्सर दूसरे के गिरेबाँ में झांकते हैं,

ईमान को बेच आते हैं बाज़ार जाकर,

झूठे आईने से फिर अपना दीवार सजाते हैं।

mirror says something

Everyone likes to look in the mirror,
If someone shows a mirror, I do not like it.
He would see himself whatever he wanted to see,
If someone tells the truth, he cannot digest it.

Everyone wants to look beautiful
Everyone forgets conscience together,
Clearing the dirt often with a mirror,
Applying ointment on the marks of the face.

The day the mirror will show conscience,
A mirror will not be visible even in a house,
No matter how much time it is worth,
Man will break it with his own hands.

No one looks into the mirror of the heart,
Often peeps into the eyes of others,
They come to the market to sell their faith,
They then decorate their walls with false mirrors.
