जीवन की गर्त को तुम ना उसका भेद पाओगे।
कितने अरसे से संवारा है तुम ना समझ पाओगे!
अरमानों के अति ख्यालों को दरकिनार किया है,
जहां -जहां जाओगे वहां मुझे ही पाओगे।
रोज तुम्हें अपने हृदय में छिपाकर निहारता हूं,
आज मैं नींद में हूं क्या पलकों में नहीं समाओगे।
कुछ अरमान मेरे भी हैं इस तरह हुस्न की चाहतों में
नजरें मिलाकर देखो आंखें चार पाओगे।
बिजुगुप्सा है तेरे नजरों से ओझल हो जाऊंगा
इस तरह बेरुखी रोज की मुझे परेशां कर न पाओगे।
कभी गरीबों को भी संवारकर देखो,
हुस्न तेरा कुछ भी नहीं,
तुमसे कई गुना खूबसूरत चेहरे पाओगे।
मान लिया तुम अमीर हो,
हूर की परी हो, नसीब वाली हो
फिर भी क्या तुम उन्हें झेल पाओगे।
अपने इस खूबसूरत आदाओं को ना बहकाओ,
चेहरे झुर्रियों से लद जायेंगे।
चाहत की उस मनमर्जी को संभाल कर
रखो, सपनें भी टूटकर बिखर जायेंगे।
मेरी चाहतों को गरीब ना समझना,
उफान मारता समुद्र की लहरें हैं।
चढ़ी पर्वां तट का एक तरी हो,
हुस्न क्या! ख्वाबें भी समा जाते हैं।
