झांसी की जब जब बात उठती।

एक ही नाम जुबां पर रहता था।।

मनु, मणिकर्णिका या लक्ष्मीबाई।

उस मर्दानी का कौशल दिखता था।।

मां भागीरथी, पिता मोरोंपंत हुए।।

जन्म लिया 19 नवंबर 1828 था।

गोरों से लोहा लेने रहने का हरदम।

उनमें तूफां सदा ही उठता रहता था।।

मनु नाना के संग रह कर ही वहां।

बचपन तलवारों से खूब खेला था।

घोड़े पर चढ़कर सरपट दौड़ दौड़।

नाम झांसी की वीर लक्ष्मी बाई था।।

न भेद सका न हरा सका उन्हें कोई।

गोरों ने छल से घेर कर मरवाया था।।

बुंदेलों की रानी बनकर लक्ष्मी ने सदा।

अपनी वसुधा का गौरव बढ़वाया था।।

लक्ष्मी 18 जून 1858 को होकर शहीद।

अमरता में उनका नाम भी पहला ही था।

Born was 19 November 1828.

Manu was there only by staying with Nana.
As a child, he played a lot with swords.

Galloping on a horse.
The name was Veer Laxmi Bai of Jhansi.

No one could penetrate or defeat them.
The whites had surrounded him with deceit.

Lakshmi has always been the queen of the Bundelas.
He had increased the pride of his Vasudha.

Lakshmi was martyred on 18 June 1858.
His name was also the first in immortality.
