परिचय– मुंबई, घाटकोपर
हवा के दोष पे जलते हुए चराग है हम,
पहाड़ों की चोटि पे बर्फ के दिए है हम।
आसमाँ के दामन में बादलों के नर्म गाले,
कोयल की तरन्नूम फूलो के तबस्सुम है हम।
फूटे शगूफे आंगन खुश्बू से महक उठा है,
चमन की फ़ज़ाओ में जिस्ते गुलाब है हम।
नीले सागर की लहरें पेड़ो की नर्म शाखें,
बीते हुए अज़ाब मौसम की कसक है हम।
आब-ए-दरिया हूँ और में प्यास भी हूँ मैं,
एक कतरा समुंदर एक घूंट जाम है हम।
मूंह पे नकाब, हैरत गुलिस्ताँ की आबो हवा,
कोहरे में बिखरते चेहरे की धनक है हम।

We are given snow on the top of the mountains.
The soft cheeks of the clouds in the arms of the sky,
We are the stars of the cuckoo’s flowers.
The torn shagufe courtyard is smelling with fragrance,
We are the roses in the wings of Chaman.
The waves of the blue ocean, the soft branches of the trees,
We are the woes of the weather of the past.
I am Aab-e-Daria and I am also thirsty,
One strand of sea is one gulp of jam.
Mask on the face, the air of wonder Gulistan,
We are the wealth of faces scattered in the fog.
